NEW YORK (Ticker) - The NFL draft will be changing venues after 10 years at Madison Square Garden.
Citing a dispute with Cablevision, which owns the building and opposes the building of a new stadium for the New York Jets on the West Side of Manhattan, the league will seek a different location for its draft in 2005.
"Is the dispute over the Jets stadium an issue or a factor? Our comment is 'Yes, it's a factor,'" NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the New York Times on Thursday. "The contract we have with the Garden is up.
