Terrific officiating on not calling the man down during the run of play knowing that the review would cover it. Textbook.

I know, the refs are always out to get everyone's team and eat their children ... but they absolutely nailed it on this one.

Yeah, good point. I thought it was an obvious touch, but I'm the best official in the world while watching slo-mo on my couch. The end result is what matters and here we had the correct result without forfeiting the possibility of a TD. Something we know a little bit about...lol.
 
Atlanta's TD should have been called back due to offensive pass interference.

Wow, that Atlanta touchdown was an incredible route combination vs the defense. It would be great to have Lil Shan designing our offense.
 
Greenbay's entire OL was beat on that play. Montgomery made that happen anyway.
 
Looks like Dallas was a paper tiger. I thought GB would win but this is getting out of hand fast.

I know. Watching all the games this weekend, and season long really, when it's not a Texans game, it's like what are these teams doing? Why is this game exciting? Why are those guys that have the ball running it and passing it into those painted parts at the end of the field?

This level of hate should be reserved for division opponents not some team in the other conference.

Hell Houston won't let God watch unless it is between 69.9 and 70.1 degrees.

Houston fans really come across as whiners whenever this conversation comes up.

And the bandwagon thing is crap. While Dallas goes 20 straight years (absent strike year) to the playoffs, Houston gets a 3 year run and creates a whole Luv ya blue mythology.
 
This conversation is always amusing. I grew up watching both teams. Switched to Dallas full-time when the Oilers left. Switched right back to the Texans full-time when they started up.

Got no hard feelings for the Cowboys. Enjoyed watching them back in the early 90s. Wish them good luck now too as long as it isn't at the Texans' expense.

I've never let other teams' fans annoy me. Success always breeds bandwagon fans. That's not an indictment on the organization. It's more of an indictment on the people who can only cheer for winners because that's how they establish their own personal self-esteem.

Don't feel like that. Just make us your second team to root for, lol. It would be nice if Texas teams were the best in the AFC and NFC making all other teams aspiring to beat us.
 
I'm a bigger fan than being one of vast football knowledge, therefore I try to stay in the learning mode. Based on that experience or lack thereof it seems to me that on the offense the Cowboys should be solid for the next four years and there should be money available to renegotiate key contracts as necessary.

My concern is getting help on the defense through free agency and draft, but thoroughly vet any who would pose a problem with being a loyal teammate above the weed and any other substance causing them to be on the couch while teammates are struggling with substitutes.

I'm not speaking of anyone with a situation similar to La'el. Hopefully Jaylon Smith will have a great debut. This off season addressing the needs us already interesting.

Lol, I thought about what one of my cousins said last month about the Cowboys hate. He hugged me around the shoulder and leaned close to my ear and said "folks are always telling me about why they hate the Cowboys and they don't realize that we don't give a damn". He said it I didn't but it was funny and on point.

For me, it goes all the way back to the 60s, when the local CBS affiliate, still Ch. 11, decided to televise Cowboy games only. So, if I wanted to watch an NFL game, it was the f'cking Cowboys or nuthin. So, if they were going to force feed the Cowboys down my throat every Sunday, then I was going to root for them to lose, and I've been rooting for the Cowboys to lose ever since. And that happens to be more entrenched than any loyalty that I have for any of Houston's teams.

And just for the record, if the Texans were to win out and go to the Super Bowl, then I would root for the Cowboys to make it there also. But since the Texans lost, the other Texas team doesnt need to be in it either. And uh . . . just in case I haven't made myself clear . . .

F'CK THE COWBOYS, AND THEIR FANS.

If Ch. 11 had decided to show the Saints or the Chiefs would you hate them at this point, some 40-50 yrs later?

Yeah, probably. If you're a kid at the time, you don't look at it as a a "corporate call". You look at it as catering to fans of another city's team that live in your own, at the expense of people who are not.

Do yourself a favor and stop trying to find logic in a subject when you know it doesn't exist.
