This is what happens in NE when you show up at a police station wasted and crying for your mommy.
Interesting comment to the news (from the link)
Jones have some baggage maybe?
Good point. Although the Patriots clearly had some offensive line issues last year, and they're doing a pretty good job addressing it so far this off-season. Even adding another second-round pick to boot, when they had no first-round picks. What makes you think Jones will have a warm fuzzy for NE after they trade him?
Money talks. I know that much. He could go to any team. The one that offers him the most money is likely where he will end up.if he performs for them next year there is a much higher chance they are willing to pay him.
Chandler Jones has to play well for Arizona, and re-sign there past 2016, if this trade is going to pay off for them. Or if Chandler Jones leaves in free agency next off-season but the Cardinals win Super Bowl 51 at NRG Stadium here in Houston, I'd still call it a good trade for Arizona.
We'll see. Maybe the Cardinals did make a good trade. It's one of those trades that will take time to materialize. It's hard to define it one way or another. We still have to see what the Patriots do with that second-round pick. Bill Belichick deserves the benefit of the doubt given his track record.Fyi both players are in the last year of their contracts. NE has an option for another year but it is before they see the guy play (this May) and is for over $11 mil.
