National Championship: OSU v. LSU

LSU.

Ohio State's record against the SEC in bowl games is not very good. I believe they are 0-6 in the last 6 games.

the SEC is definitely superior to every conference. but that has nothing to do with this matchup. OSU is better and faster than last year's team. LSU isn't as disciplined and well-coached as last year's Florida team. they don't have the ability to overpower Ohio State on defense the way Urban Meyer's offense did last year.

LSU will win, but it won't be a big blowout. OSU is pretty tired of hearing about the speed factor and I'm thinking they are going to come out ready to kill some tigers. Not a big blowout, but I think ultimately 10-14 point victory for the Tigers.

31-10 LSU 9 min left in the 3rd. I'm close to calling this a game and going to sleep. Maybe I'll tivo it just in case there's a great surprise endind.

Wells should be 1st rounder next year.

GEAUX TIGERS!

Say what you want about the BCS, the teams in it, whatever - as a diehard LSU fan (wife and I both graduated from there) that game was awesome.

If only the Texans could whoop some butt like that next year.....

Started off like Ohio St. was going to pull away with it but LSU kept their compsure and really took over the game...my hats off to them.

I didn't really get to watch the game as closely as I wanted (to see Boone and Jenkins).

Alex Boone had a great block on the 65 yard Chris Wells TD run. He pushed the defender to the middle and then released and locked onto a LB that allowed Wells to go around behind Boone and get past the LB...great play.

Malcolm Jenkins I didn't get to see too much of, he had that INT which was close to a TD and then on the onside kick knocked the crud out of the guy who caught it. I saw him have some hard hits during the game but that's about it.

I'm still impressed with Malcolm Jenkins and Aqib Talib. And Chris Wells had a great game and is only a sophomore

Dear BCS,

Please refrain from inviting OSU to anymore title games. They get run off of the field and look completly overmatched. You would be better served to "snub" them so the national media can **** and moan about a "power house" getting dissed. Just hand the damn trophy to the winner of the SEC championship game every year and skip the formallity.

Your Friend,

Personally, I came away impressed with Jonathan Zenon. I noticed him last year, but haven't heard too much of him this year which makes me think he's been flying under the radar. It seemed he had great coverage on their WRs all night and I hardly saw them throw against him. He's got good size as well, and I'm sure his speed isn't too bad either. Definitely a potential sleeper for the later rounds like Fred Bennett was.

it was interesting to see LSU overpower Ohio State, instead of just burning them with speed. a bad sign for the Big 10 for an SEC team to out-brutalize them.

Dorsey to Miami? i wouldn't protest. he looked awful the first few drives, but so did the entire LSU defense. however on the running plays where everyone was pushed backwards he was the only standing his man. pure power.

Vernon Gholston may have slipped a bit from the top 10. just didn't impress at all. was double-teamed several times though. liked seeing him stand up and move. of course, once he gets to the combine and everyone sees him with his shirt off and his ridiculous timed speeds and agility, that'll change.

I'm not sure who the RDE for LSU was, but I saw him flying off the snap and running past the LT a lot last night.

Pillow fight on Raw!
:splits:
You forgot the Lingerie part of the pillow fight.... which was nice!!!

Congrats all you LSU fans! GOOD game tonight!

Sorry Ryan! Hope ya had a good time in NO anyway!!

Yup!! Sorry Yankee.... I won't bore you with any jokes about what kind of pencils do they use for exams at OSU................. A: #2.

:jk:

Hope y'all had a great time anyway!!

I didn't really get to watch the game as closely as I wanted (to see Boone and Jenkins).

If OSU makes it there again, I would suggest that on their first offensive series they fumble the ball away or just kneel 3 times and punt. I mean last year was an opening kickoff for a TD. This year was a 60 yard run. Those leads are fleeting.

Well I won't go that far. Will say I was dissapointed in the tackling from the Ohio State . Pityful.

Well when USC got all of their injuries, that kinda killed the BCS title game. Thought the Rose and Sugar bowl proved without a doubt Missouri got jobed pretty bad.
Missouri just didn't have the depth in the d-line to compete with OU at the end of the season. Once they got their guys healthy again....they were light out again. Going to be interesting to see where everyone starts the season in August.

Last thought....the computer(s) where wrong. OSU wasn't close to the #1 team in the nation. OSU got exposed and so did Hawi'i.
