MY Texans - Draft WishList

I know its early but I have a lot of time to kill until the season starts and why not start looking to the future and think of ways to improve our team.

Tarell Brown (Univ. of Texas)
I like this guy big time, with the presence of WR Roy Williams, LB Derrick Johnson, RB Cedric Benson, Limas Sweed and Vince Young Brown has been in the shadows quiety doing what he needs to do to make sure that the Horns defense stays in the top tier of the NCAA. He could drop down to the late 2nd early 3rd round cause he suffered an injury at the end of the year and if that happens he will be a steal at that position in the draft and I would love to see him on the other side of D-Rob. He's got good size at 6'0 and 200lbs and awesome speed. He's clocked a 4.31 and a 4.35 in a 40. Horns defense was rank #1 in the Big 12 Last Year. Brown started 12 of the 13 games.

Brandon Meriweather
I would love to see this guy come to the Texans, He not the biggest and strongest safety out there but this guys is a force to respect in the run game. He's been compared to Ed Reed in tackling and cover skills but not in speed. 115 Tackles, 7 PBU, 3 Ints. I say we put him back there with Earl and Brown let them battle it out and lets the best man win. He is versatile enough to play both safety position.

Marshawn Lynch
what can I say about this guy besides amazing.. forget the Adrian Peterson and Micheal Bush talk..

Peterson
1,108 yards - 5.0 yards per carry

Bush
1,143 yards - 5.6 yards per carry

Lynch
1,246 yards - 6.4 yards per carry

Oh yeah and keep this one quiet.. (He Did that while splitting carries with another back) And he didnt have one of the best lines like Peterson.. he also didnt have the run happy offense that Louisville has.. If this guy comes out he is the number 1 back in my opinion barring injuries.

Louisville doesn't have a run happy offense.

But I agree Lynch is good. He also had an injury last year.

T. Brown is pretty good, but you picked the wrong Texas DB IMO.

If you have a wish list, may as well shoot higher and aim for S Michael Griffin. This kid is fast, can cover, has great hands, and REALLY brings the wood when he tackles. He is a human torpedo! I just drool at the prospect of him and DRob in our backfield. That would strike fear in receivers coming over the middle.

Of course, he may go pretty early in the draft, so if all goes well this season, we may not be able to get him.

its a little bit to early isnt it but it would be nice if the texans drafted Laron Landry

Agreed. LaRon is the best player in the secondary i don't think anyone else is really close.
