Nice effort and some pretty good picks, but...

Minnesota would take Jarrett at #7 before they take Ginn....no way CB Damieon Hughes gets picked before CB Marcus McCauley who is a true shut-down Champ Bailey type....no way that not a single LB is picked in the 1st round and Paul Poluzny lasts to the 2nd.

JMO, you have yours....that's what this MB is for.:)

I didn't spend much time looking this over, but here are the obvious things that stand out. I won't argue the rest as it is too early.

Jammal Anderson is a straight up 4-3 DE, San Fran runs a 3-4. If they went with another hybrid after chosing Lawson last year, the would go with someone like Woodly or Moses.

Adam Carriker is mostly projected as a 3-4 DE, JAX runs a 4-3. They could use some LB help.

Buffalo just drafted a DT last year in the 1st when they traded back up to nab McCargo.

Denver is likely to go CB after what happened to Williams.

These guys won't go round one, they just aren't good enough:
Turk McBride
Marshal Yanda
Craig Davis

first try are you sure :hmmm:

you got some important picks right like Peterson to Cleveland, Thomas to Arizona & of course Reggie Nelson to the Texans. But how does the best player in the draft slip to #4? don't worry your not alone Scott Wright says the same, but to me Al Davis will not only not take a QB he will likely take another WR to pair with Moss.

I may not have heard this right today, but I thought one of the better WR's to ever play the game was a leading canidate for the Raiders HC position, named James Lofton. that should tell you something :)

If the Raiders dont pick CJ I would think they'd take J.Russell over Quinn, that's me and just think it's a 'better' fit. many disagree w/ me though.

Also, there should be both LB's taken in the 1st. P-Willie and Poz will definitly be taken in the 1st but 'i know players always slip'. I'd just assume pick up Landry or Nelson in the 2nd in that case...

very nice first try.

You got all day off the board at three. You're my new best friend. But as bad as drafting an oft injured running back would be....why would you come back at the two and do the same thing at LB ? Conner, out played the stud Paul Poluszny 6-2, 230 4.70 Penn State (X)
with the press clippings in every way this year for Penn St. That "X" behind his name, that there thing means something.
So does the 4.70. There are much better options at Linebacker @ the 39 I'm betting. Poluzny is more of a risk than Tony Hollings was at the two. At the least he is just as much of a gamble. You're taking the same gamble the the The Texans took last year with Erick Winston. Only you're doing it thirty picks earlier. Not prudent in my book. You're gambling, with what should be a lock at the thirty nine, that his knee is going to recover to pre injury form. He made all american this year for his body of work over the last two years. Rather have the corner prospect myself. Or the Ag, latter in the day. Gig 'em.

How can a top 5 pick not be in your mock????:hides:

That is what they call a giant F-up.

My bad. Part redo:

1. Oakland 2-14 .555 - Brady Quinn
2. Detroit 3-13 .479 - Jamarcus Russell
3t. Cleveland (x) 4-12 .535 - Adrian Peterson

5. Arizona 5-11 .500 - Joe Thomas
6. Washington 5-11 .512 - Gaines Adams
7. Minnesota 6-10 .539 - Dwayne Jarrett
8. Houston 6-10 .500 - Reggie Nelson
9. Miami 6-10 .504 - Alan Branch
10. Atlanta 7-9 .457 - Laron Landry
11. San Francisco 7-9 .500 - Ted Ginn Jr.
12. Buffalo 7-9 .574 - Jammal Anderson

32. Chicago (y) 13-3 .430 - Greg Olsen

Charles Johnson dropped out of the first round

Just my random thoughts/predictions:

CJ goes #1 to the Raiders
Lions take Russell,
Browns take homeboy Quinn,
Tampa Bay takes Anderson,
Arizona takes Thomas,
Washington takes Adams (though i could see them reaching for Leon Hall as their secondary was terrible this year),
Minnesota takes Jarrett (Ted Ginn is Troy Williamson 2.0 and he was a major bust)
Texans take AP
Miami takes Alan Branch ( front 3 is OLD)
Atlanta goes for Laron Landry
San Fran takes Ginn

thats about as far as i care to go

Definitely an A for effort, however I'll pound this one every opportunity I get-- with Jerry Porter's Oakland career dead and Randy Moss's on life support, I'm almost 100 percent certain the Raiders take Calvin, unless he completely bombs at the Combine.

To me, Tampa seems to be the biggest wild card. They could go almost anywhere except RB. Based on the age of thier D,I would suspect DE but is is justified that high? They couldnt go wrong with Thomas, either. I dont see them taking a WR either.

I have that in my alternate mock that i have not posted here yet. But what I think you will find is that it doesn't really affect our pick in many scenarios. FOr Example:

Raiders: Calvin Johnson
Detroit: Jamarcus Russel
Browns: Adrian Peterson
Bucs: Brady Quinn
Cards: Joe Thomas
Washington: Gaines Adams
Viks: Jammal Anderson/Leon Hall/Jarrett
Texans:

Top 5 remains the same

Seems we agree in many respects.
