My only change from 8/26 is dropping Davis off of the PUP and onto the waiver wire. Bolded players are at most risk in my opinion.

I think Wong and Mathis are the only guys who are reserve-PUPable considering their status prior to camp start. They've already put Mathis on the reserve-PUP. They haven't done so with Wong which is curious. I won't speculate on what that means because I don't want to start another **** storm.

Wong is a strange one. Are they using his status to light a fire against some of the LB's who are fighting for a LB position? If he is not PUP'd it would leave the idea out there that he may be ready before week 6 to at least start practicing and ready before week 9 to play. Of course that is mere speculation 167.2 miles from my house to Reliant.

The organization appears to be moving along a parallel path..... unless you think we should bring in an "experienced" RB and pay him "experienced" pay, and get no more than what Lundy, Smith, Morency will give us??

The Associated Press reports Houston Texans RB Domanick Davis (knee) doesn't know when his injured left knee will be healthy enough for him to return to the field. He has been out for a month with a bone bruise that is causing soreness in his knee. He said it has been frustrating and surprising that the injury has kept him out this long. "It's getting to the point where it's just draining me," he said. "I'm tired of watching. I've been here and I've worked hard with everybody else and I can't be out there and help. It's just killing me watching." Texans head coach Gary Kubiak plans to meet with Davis, his agent and his doctors this week to discuss his injury. He wants to find out if Davis can play this season or if he needs to be placed on Injured Reserve. Davis will not be available for Houston's opener against Philadelphia and rookie RB Wali Lundy will start in his place.

I'm on your side....... I want DD playing this year...... If he has to go on IR, I'm hoping it's so we can get him on the field next year, and not just to spread the cap money

D.Carr...as of right now...isn't worth a bag of old footballs...D.Carr may actually hurt us more than help us this season(not saying he will, but it's a possibility)...And as far DD....I don't know what to say about him...the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of him is......o.k.....he's just o.k....I honestly am not worried whether he plays or doesn't play this season because I think between Lundy and Morency, they more than make up for his absence, if not produce more as a combo....We aren't really hurting at RB IMO...and maybe I'm a bit biased...as I have never been big on DD...

I have to agree with KT on this one. I said I thought the Texans would IR Davis back before TC because I felt/thought then he wouldnt make a recovery as his injury seemed like it was taking an abnormally long time to heal and he didnt really partcipate in any camps to show progress to the new staff and when he did - his knee got bruised and he's back to riding a bike. IMO He has shown little to no progress since the injury last year even after the surgery and recovery time/rehab. While I would love to hold him for a year and let him recover, looking at his contract and such I would be more inclined now to go the waiver route and try to resign him at a lower contract value w/medical exclusions if possible as it seems his motivation to play isnt here atm. We need gamers on this team - if DD doesnt want to be a part of it, then we have to cut him for the best of the team and DD as we dont want to risk him getting a long term injury and us having the liability for his contract. Thats just the biz...
IMO until he can practice again regularly it's gonna be a tough call by the staff on keeping him even though Kubiak clarified yesterday on 610 he wasnt cutting DD when they meet tomorrow. I honestly dunno how he can merit keeping him on the roster IR if he cant see any progress from DD to guage it on. DD has to get on the field and show somethign or I feel a waiver is coming tomorrow.
