My 1st Mock Draft

YodAa

Rookie
This is the 1st mock draft so don't judge to critically plz. Just note that it heavily favors the BUCS and the TEXANS.

1.49ers- QB Aaron Rodgers, CAL- a local so the niners take him over Smith

2.Dolphins- HB Ronnie Brown, Auburn- best back in the draft and the phins need help in that area.

3.Browns- QB Alex Smith, Utah- Browns need a QB and aren't just gonna give Dilfer the starting job.

4.Bears- WR Braylon Edwards, Michigan- Probably the best WR in the draft and the Bears could use some WRs

5.BUCS- WR MIKE "BMW" WILLIAMS, USC- BUCS WON'T PASS UP ON HIM (ESPECIALLY IN MY MOCK) BECAUSE WITH HIM GREASE WILL HAVE 2 GOOD AND YOUNG RECEIVERS TO PASS TO. HIM AND CLAYTON WILL MAKE A GREAT 1 2 PUNCH AND THEY'LL OPEN UP THE FIELD. IF THEY CAN DO THAT AND IF PITTMAN CAN FIX HIS FUMBLING OR JUST NO HAVE ANY GAME LOSING FUMBLES, THE BUCS WILL HAVE ONE OF THE BEST OFFENSES IN THE LEAGUE.

6.Titans- CB Antrel Rolle, Miami- The best CB in the draft and they'll replace the Rolle they lost with this Rolle. They'll also need him really bad for games against the TEXANS so that old friends can contribute even more to this rivalry.

7.Vikings- LB Derrick Johnson, Texas- With the top 2 WRs gone the Vikings will decide to improve their already much improved defense even more.

8. Cardinals- HB Carnell "Cadillac" Williams, Auburn- At 8 the Cardinals get 2 pick one of the top 3 RBs in the draft to replace the legendary Emmit Smith.

9.Redskins- CB Adam "Pac-man" Jones, West Virginia- The Redskins will get Pac-man to increase their stock in CBs.

10.Lions- LB Shawne Merriman, Maryland- The Lions would have very much liked having DJ but with him gone they will just settle for the next best thing at that position.

11.Cowboys- DE Erasmus James, Wisconsin- Probably the best DL in the draft, the 'boys will pick him to improve the defense and go back to being a really good defense like they were in '03

12.Chargers- DE Marcus Spears, LSU- The chargers will improve their pass rushing and decide to get Spears.

13.TEXANS- WR TROY WILLIAMSON, SOUTH CAROLINA- THE TEXANS WILL CHOOSE TROY TO GIVE CARR 2 GOOD CHOICES TO THROW TOO.

14.Panthers- OT Alex Barron, Florida State- The Panthers will pick Barron to improve their OLine thus improving their already great running game even more.

15.Chiefs- S/LB Thomas Davis- Although this guy isn't very big he always shows up and makes plays, plus it wouldn't hurt the Chiefs improve their secondary (especially now that their divisional rivals the Raiders have Moss).

16.Saints- DE Dan Cody- He could be the best DE in the draft so they Saints will pick him and try to improve thier defense.

Well this is the half way point of my mock and since were past the Texans most of you will probably stop reading the explanations (plus I'm tired) so now I'm mostly just post who the teams pick unless I feel like explaining.

17.Bengals- DT Travis Johnson, Florida State

18.Vikings- WR Mark Clayton, Oklahoma- The Vikings will try to replace the loss of Moss with the best thing available at this point in the draft (I think this could be the steal of the draft, just as it was last year with the other Clayton.)

19.St.Louis- OT Jammal Brown, Oklahoma

20.Cowboys- WR Matt Jones, Arkansas

21.Jaguars- CB Carlos Rodgers, Auburn

22.Ravens- DE Matt Roth, Iowa

23.Seahawks- CB Justin Miller, Clemson

24.Packers- LB Channing Crowder, Florida

25.Broncos- HB Cedric Benson, Texas- This guy can't drop any further so the Broncos will pick him. It can't hurt them in any way especially since they traded Droughnes.

26.Jets- TE Heath Miller, Virginia

27.Falcons- OG Elton Brown, Virginia

28.Chargers- LB Demarcus Ware, Troy State

29.Colts- CB Fabian Washington, Nebraska

30.Steelers- WR Chris Henry, West Virginia

31.Eagles- LB Darryl Blackstock, Virginia

32.Patriots- CB Marlin Jackson, Michigan

OMG!!! I didn't think that would take so long.

There are quite a few things I don't think will happen (Benson falling to 25, NO taking another DE), but I won't nitpick...In that scenario, I think Williamson would probably be the BPA, so good pick...Just curious, but why do you want Mike Williams in Tampa Bay so bad? He is essentially the same receiver as Clayton...If anything, the Bucs need a deep threat...

They already have a deep threat in Galloway but I don't think Galloway is good as number 2 thats why I want it to be Clayton, Williams, Galloway.

But Galloway is either 33 or 34 years old, so he'll probably lose a step or two next year if he hasn't already...I'm just not sure the best thing for them to do would be to get two slot guys and start them...What's your opinion on the rumor that the Bucs want to trade up to get Alex Smith?

I really hope they don't just because right now they have Griese and Akili Smith and Simms and I think that if Simms gets another chance to play he'll take it and run with it. I wouldn't mind seeing the Bucs draft a QB in later rounds though.

I read about the rumors of Bucs dealing with Fins; Why should they? Greise looked pretty good in their system..Simms? Any way, they are in a good spot to pick elite RB or WR. I'm hoping Texans will trade down with Saints and pick up an extra 3rd round pick. Then, use extra picks to move back into 2nd round.
1. Ware or Clayton
2a. R. Brown( or Roby) or Thurman
2b. Spencer OL
3. Wilson CB
4. Houston RB
5. Grisby LB

I wouldn't mind the Bucs drafting either Smith but only if there at #5.
Heres the list of players that I wouldn't mind if the Bucs or Texans drafted:

Bucs
-BMW
-DJ
-Ronnie Brown
-Smith (if still there at 5)

Texans
-DJ
-Troy Williamson
-Antrel Rolle
-Thomas Davis
