Moss vs AJ

Just reported on ESPN NFL live, Sean looks for Moss to have the big breakout day amongst NFL WR's and Trey picks Andre Johnson. It will be interesting to see once the dust has settled who comes out on top. Here is one more vote for AJ :jam:

I'm totally a Texans fan, but Moss is THE BEST WR in the league by far. Even TO is a long 2nd best. I would put TO, Johnson, Harrison, rising star Roy Williams, and a bunch of others in the mix as comparable quality recievers. But Moss is #1.

this was only a prediction made for the breakout wide out for this weekend on the ESPN Live show. Sean is assuming the Texans are either weak in the secondary or because the Vikings are shorthanded at RB that Moss will have the biggest weekend of any WR in the NFL. Trey Wingo then selected Andre Johnson as the breakout WR this weekend in the NFL, because not only has he been hot latley but that the Viking secondary is suspect, not to mention the Texans offensive line is giving Carr more time.

there is no question Moss is one of the best receiver's in the NFL & that Andre Johnson is a rising star. The question is which WR is going to have the biggest game this weekend?

Player............No....yds...Avg......Long....TD

Andre Johnson 17 355 20.9 54 2 (thru 4 games) 88.75 yds pg.

Randy Moss 19 215 11.3 44 5 (thru 3 games) 71.66 yds pg.

Neither receiver is currently among the NFL top 5. So why would each player be selected to have their breakout game of the season? MATCHUPS

I would not be surprised to see Randy catch 12-13 short, ball control type routes with a couple TD's & over 100 yds.

Andre might catch fewer 6-9 but will make up for it once again in total yards maybe close to a buck fifty also with a pair of touchdowns.

However Texans win, edge to Andre :BananaWav

Have a look at this...

Issue No. 2: Is it just me, or does Texans WR Andre Johnson look a lot like a player who just might end up leading the AFC in TD catches?

Some might say, 'Hey, no one's disputing Andre Johnson is good. So, why bring him up?'

Because I just don't get the feeling Johnson is getting as much respect as he deserves. He's on the cusp of some big, big games. All indications point to it: The Texans will be in their share of high-scoring games. QB David Carr is thriving in his third season in Chris Palmer's offense. And Johnson is gaining 20.9 yards per catch in four games.
At the moment, Johnson has 17 catches for 355 yards with two scores. His yards-per-catch average is tops in the AFC among receivers with at least 12 catches.

If you can pry him away from an RB-needy/trade-happy/desperate/crazy owner, do it. Johnson is quickly becoming one of the most difficult wideouts to cover in the NFL. The Raiders had a tough time with it in Week Four, and they don’t lack for talent at cornerback.

Johnson very well could have a breakout game vs. Minnesota on Sunday. The Vikings are near the bottom of the league in yards per pass play allowed. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if he scored more than once and racked up more than 125 receiving yards in what promises to be the day’s most high-scoring game.

Let's go AJ

Decisions, decisions!? Go see the Astros win their first ever playoff series or go see Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper for the first time? Ugh. I gotta go with the Astros by a slight margin.

I'm selling my season ticket seats for this game. These are AWESOME; 8 rows from the front, in the corner of the endzone. I will sell the 2 seats in Section 121 Row K along with a yellow parking pass to the best offer I get by 10am Sunday morning. If interested then email me at deepbluesteel@hotmail.com.

The face value is $110 and $10 for parking pass; $120 total. Best offer via email gets them. Please leave me your home phone and cell phone. I will meet the person tomorrow around 10am Sunday. I live close to 59 S and 610 and can meet close to there. If the first person, no shows I'll call the next person on my email. I'll call you if you won. Thank you!!!

My prediction & Trey Wingo's was right on in the WR match-up of Moss vs. Andre Johnson with both recievers accomplishing stated goals-

........... Rec...yds.. Avg ...Lng...TD
Johnson ..12.....171...14.3....36.....2
R. Moss ...5 ......91....18.2....51.... 2

However unlucky the Texans lost the game & Randy won the war...this time.
