Mock draft?

Hi,
I am new to this board but am a fan of the Texans. I am really interested in Mock drafts and the NFL draft in general but do not have much experience with it. Who are considered the "Mock draft experts" on here that I should follow as the process unfolds?

As an outsider, I come here often to read the breakdowns of players and rankings provided by the many competent posters. Its always good to balance the national media against informed guys who's agenda is only to help their team.

Although most mockers are not privy to all the private inside information the teams have, sometimes I believe the mockers have a better overall feel for actual team needs.

Like awtysst listed we have some knowledgeable people here. Just stick to the Mock Draft Talk area and you will get some really good, insightful information as the draft creeps closer and closer.

First, welcome to the board and glad to have another mocker! All those listed above are dedicated folks who enjoy the game of football and we can usually disagree on points and opinions without having to worry if anyone has hired a hit man,lol.

Beerlover, Rmartin 65 and I post frequent mocks and also other information that we think others might enjoy. You will find some of those in this forum and I would also mention you can find me and others hotly debating Houston Rockets issues under the basketball forum. If you desire info about our philosophies, sources, etc please pm any one of us (uh, better clarify I am speaking for BL and 65 not the others listed). We definitley understand we are not professionals and that is what makes it fun. Looking forward to your posts and questions. Steve (BADBOY)

Hey, welcome aboard and hope you post often. Basically, anyone's mock is good to read up on to get various opinions. We also hold annual mock drafts where we assign each member who participates a team to draft for and then we compile the selections.

Welcome welcome. There's a pretty avid cult following around here when it comes to the nfl draft. I'll add "LZ" to the list. That's Lance Zerlein who comes around here near draft time and really gives some good input into the prospects, who the Texans may be interested in and has some good mocks of his own.
