Mock draft sampling needed

Shamrock

Practice Squad
I'm going to select for the Texans in a mock draft on another forum in a 2-3 round draft.

Can I get a sampling from some of you on who you think the Texans will take in the first 3 rounds?

Thanks ..........

1. Braylon EDwards,Troy Williamson, Alex Barron, Pac-Man Jones, Marcus Spears.(pick 1)

2. David Baas, Roddy White (pick 1)

3. Matt Jones, Antonio Perkins (pick both)

1) theyll trade down and aquire Channing Crowder-LB(picking up another second)
2) they take Justin Miller-CB/Marlin Jackson-CB(whoever is available[preferably Miller])
2b) Chris Spencer-OG/C(best interior lineman available)
3) Vincent Jackson-WR( 6'4 232 4.46) good hands and body control
3b) Anthony Bryant-DT(two-gap player with incredible strength[505lbs bench press] and plays well vs. the run)

That would be picture perfect. :thumbup

1) Erasmus James (DE/OLB)/Shawne Merriman(DE/OLB)/"Pac-Man" Jones(CB)/Troy Williamson(WR)
2) David Baas(OG/C)/Chris Spencer(C/OG)/Luis Castillo(DT)
3a) Fabian Washington(CB)/Mike Patterson(DT)/Chris Canty(DE)
3b) Sione Pouha(NT)/James Butler(FS)/C.J. Brooks(OG)
4) Nehemiah Broughton(RB)/Brandon Jacobs(RB)/Craig Bragg(WR)
5) Adam Bergen(TE)/Jerome Collins(TE)/Dave Kashetta(TE)
6) Derek Anderson (our token QB)/Gino Guidugli (or this token QB)/Jonathan Pollard(ILB)
7) Jonathan Welsh(OLB)/A.J. Lindsay(DT)/Daniel Loper(OT)

Some combination of those players would be a nice draft.

Top 10 Texan Needs (players with a very good chance be picked in 3 rounds):

1. 3-4 ILB - Generally 4-3 OLBs, but speed 4-3 MLBs work, too (Johnson, Burnett, Thomas Davis, Crowder, Thurman)
2. Interior O-Line - OG or C, LT is a need but coaches seem to like the player (Seth Wand) we already have starting. (Elton Brown, Baas, Chris Spencer, Wilkerson, Marcus Johnson, Mathis, Buenning, Jason Brown)
3. 3-4 DE - In case Gary Walker can't perform up to expectations - even if he does, we still need to replace him in the next two years. Position generally played by large 4-3 DEs or lighter 4-3 DTs. Usually two-gap players. (Spears, S.Cody, Canty, Haye, Ellison - big drop off at this position is why you see a lot of Spears talk here)
4. 3-4 NT - In case Seth Payne can't stay on the field. Position generally played by large 4-3 DTs. Two-gap players only. (Hawthorne, Castillo, Moseley, Fields)
5. #2 WR - Must be credible threat to prevent defense from creeping to Andre Johnson's side. (Edwards, Mike Williams, T.Williamson, Mark Clayton, Roddy White, Jerome Mathis)
6. #3 or #4 CB - Upside is key here. Player is unlikely to start this year, but will probably be displacing Aaron Glenn next year. (Pac-man, Rolle, Rogers, Miller, Browner, Marlin Jackson, McFadden, Fabian Washington, Webster, Perkins)
7. TE - We've got an unknown atop our depth chart (3rd year player who missed his first two seasons on IR) and we've got known-to-be-situational-players at #2 and #3. (Heath Miller, Alex Smith (TE, not the QB), Everett, Dreessen)
8. RB - To split load with Davis. (Brown, Benson, Williams, Fason, Morency, Shelton, Arrington, Barber III)
9. KR - Probably not a player in top 3 rounds unless they also meet one of the above. (Pac-Man, Perkins, Barber III?)
10. Backup QB (whoever, but McPherson is probably the only non-first rounder with enough upside for Texans to pick in the top 3 rounds)

:hmmm: Cadillac, huh? I wouldn't be too against that...IMO he was the BPA in that scenario, so good pick :thumbup ...
