MNF Bal vs NE

Brady throwing some awkward throws.

One seemingly to no one, could have been his rookie receiver wasn't where he was supposed to be.

The Ravens pass rush isn't helping him. he escaped from one sack, reset & sailed a ball over Edelman's head... announcers are saying Edelman stopped on a route.

Ok, something is up with getting it right. NE punts the football and it rolls, untouched, verrrrry slowly out of bounds at the 1 1/2 yard line. The producer decides to show that idiotic overhead cam, then the fans, then an angle so far away you can't see where the ball was placed (or spotted).

It seems they put it on the 2 yard line. I guess you had to have seen it to appreciate what I tried to explain. But to miss a spot by a foot and a half on that play was...........insane.

You noticed something strange there too huh?

The Ravens put up a good fight.
They made it a good game.
If the Pats had Gronk it wouldn't have been close.

It shouldn't have been close otherwise. Only reason why it was is due to the idiot returners making back to back turnovers giving Baltimore 14 straight points just like that. Other than that the Pats dominated.

I've recently paid more attention to spotting. It's pretty bad all around. The process itself is spotty. They have the line judge run in from the sideline, almost always not parallel to the goal line. He picks it up and tosses it to another ref who ran to where the center will stand over it. That spot is different, often quite drastically so, than the spot that is chosen by the line judge who originally runs to get the ball. I get that they want to keep the game going quickly, but when teams are losing/gaining a half of yard due to inexactness due to refs on every play, maybe it is a good time to look at ways to improve that process.
