Miami Fire Sale: Jordan, Wake, Wallace Being Shopped

Per LaCanfora:

A year after trading up to get Dion Jordan with the third overall pick in the draft, the Dolphins have begun shopping him to other clubs, league sources said. Miami has talked to other teams already to gauge Jordan's trade value.

Numerous league sources, including executives from other teams, say the Dolphins might also be open to dealing receiver Mike Wallace and pass-rushing ace Cam Wake. That perception has only grown through the course of this week, through conversations with numerous decision-makers from other clubs, as Miami looks to retool its roster under a new regime.

I'm extremely curious as to what Wake would go for. If you could get him for a 3rd, you'd have to do it, right? Is that feasible?

What a mess Jeff Ireland created. He traded up to #3 overall and drafted a player that his DC couldn't figure out where to play. He gave big contracts to mid-tier FA's like Ellerbee and Wheeler, who both flopped. They will also never move Wallace because his contract is absurd. All this and that doesn't even touch how atrocious the O-Line is.

I follow the Dolphins because of where I live and my friends being Dolphin's fans. You're right, they are a complete mess. The Mike Wallace contract is crazy (17M cap hit this year) and their other FA acquisitions from last year were not good. They ought to keep Jordan and see where that goes, because they are just going to get fleeced for him now.

Shoot its a buyers market, offer the 33rd for both lol.

the fact they're giving up on him already is kinda scary. trent richardson of 2014?

That or it could be that the FO never wanted him in the first place, the guy that drafted him is out of there. For the 33rd pick I would say its a good deal since he is still what 21-22? and one year in the NFL. But you never know like you say it could be Trent Richardson or Aaron Curry all over again.

eh, but you don't give up on young franchise pass rushers if they're showing the potential is real.

if i had to put my money on it, they know they f'd up the pick and like the browns, they're trying to get rid of the mistake before his value vanishes.

don't want...rather draft our own guy.

Sounds like more LaCanfora fiction as Salguero/Dolphins refute it...
Let's clear things up:

The Dolphins have begun shopping defensive end Dion Jordan to gauge his trade value, CBSSports.com reported today.

That's false, a Dolphins source just told me.

The Dolphins are open to trading receiver Mike Wallace and are gauging interest in him around the league, CBSSports.com reported today.

That's false, the same Dolphins source just told me.

The Dolphins are open to trading Cameron Wake, CBSSports.com reported today.

That's false, the same Dolphins source just told me.

So what we have here is an issue of credibility and integrity. Do you believe CBSSports.com? Or do you believe the Miami Dolphins?

I know my source.

I'm going with the Dolphins.
