Well, Reggie was a once in a decade player, but Vince would have been the better pick. He's once in a lifetime..... Yep, ain't nobody like Vince. He can throw as well as Matt Lienart, Carr, Palmer....... check his stats..... completion percentage.... YPA...... QB rating........ passing yards...... they're all there..... all lined up.
He can run the ball as well as any QB has ever run the ball.... he's not fast... he's not shifty..... he's just elusive..... he's got a deceptive running style, great feel for the game, and an amazing burst...
Sure, he hasn't run a pro style offense in two years, but hey..... it's like riding a bike. Besides, Aaron Brooks, took the worst team in the league to the Playoffs, and won the game for them....... Aarons biggest problem, IMHO, is that he wanted sooooo bad to be a pocket QB..... instead of being who he is... that team wasn't ready for him to be a pocket passer.. they needed him to run the ball, keep drives alive, they needed him to win the game.
That won't be a problem for Vince...... he's very comfortable with who he is... he knows as the leader of whatever team he goes to, they want to win, and they don't care how they do it...... look at Vick.
Take what the defense gives you..... and they're going to give Vince alot...... he will truly be an offensive juggernaught....... if you keep him contained, he's going to pick you apart...... if you try to rush him, he's going to beat you.
But alas, he won't be a Texan....... ahh well........ whatever accomplishments he has, Houstonians will still have reason to be proud. He's still a Houstonian, a Texan.... not the football team...... Kinda like when Jake Delhomme went to the NFC championship game......... I live on the Texas-Louisianna border..... all them cajuns were soooo fired up about him going to the Superbowl.
Sure, we'll look back and say it would've been nice, but we're going to kick his Arce in the AFC championship game.
