McNair, Casserley and whoever else let this happen...

....you just blew it!! They had a chance to take one of the best offensive wepons in years, the guy that comes around every couple of decades and they did not take him, WHY????? The draft is all about talent and potential and if you have the best potential defensive player and the best potential offensive player to choose from, you should take the best offensive player every single time. A playmaker on offense is a better choice than a defensive playmaker because the offensive guy will have a lot more opportunity. There is no reason why Williams should be taken ahead of Bush, none. Heck, if they were not going to take Bush, I think the better option would be a franchise takcle....D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

Totally agree.

When you've got the #1 pick, there's no need to be picky about filling in positions. You pick the Best player, even with other needs. This draft will haunt the Texans forever, It'll be known as the year "they passed on Vince Young and Reggie Bush." It's Courtney Brown time for Casserly.

Now I think Casserly just trying to piss us all off.

He found the one solution that pisses in the face of all three camps, Bush, Young, & Trade.

No I'll give Kubiak the beneifit of doubt, but Casserly has proven that he has no idea what's going on, when it comes to the draft.

Well, Reggie was a once in a decade player, but Vince would have been the better pick. He's once in a lifetime..... Yep, ain't nobody like Vince. He can throw as well as Matt Lienart, Carr, Palmer....... check his stats..... completion percentage.... YPA...... QB rating........ passing yards...... they're all there..... all lined up.

He can run the ball as well as any QB has ever run the ball.... he's not fast... he's not shifty..... he's just elusive..... he's got a deceptive running style, great feel for the game, and an amazing burst...

Sure, he hasn't run a pro style offense in two years, but hey..... it's like riding a bike. Besides, Aaron Brooks, took the worst team in the league to the Playoffs, and won the game for them....... Aarons biggest problem, IMHO, is that he wanted sooooo bad to be a pocket QB..... instead of being who he is... that team wasn't ready for him to be a pocket passer.. they needed him to run the ball, keep drives alive, they needed him to win the game.

That won't be a problem for Vince...... he's very comfortable with who he is... he knows as the leader of whatever team he goes to, they want to win, and they don't care how they do it...... look at Vick.

Take what the defense gives you..... and they're going to give Vince alot...... he will truly be an offensive juggernaught....... if you keep him contained, he's going to pick you apart...... if you try to rush him, he's going to beat you.

But alas, he won't be a Texan....... ahh well........ whatever accomplishments he has, Houstonians will still have reason to be proud. He's still a Houstonian, a Texan.... not the football team...... Kinda like when Jake Delhomme went to the NFC championship game......... I live on the Texas-Louisianna border..... all them cajuns were soooo fired up about him going to the Superbowl.

Sure, we'll look back and say it would've been nice, but we're going to kick his Arce in the AFC championship game.

Let me see if I understand. We bring in a coach to deal with the offense and we use our pick for a defensive player. Nuf said as to why the Texans will never be a winning franchise, nevermind a playoff or Superbowl contender. The absolute stupidity of this is beyond my comprehension.

I'm loving every minute of it all the way to the start of the next exciting Houston Texan seasons. Remember with planning and patience there's always again a draft filled with outstanding talent next and each and every year. Fans this is just the beginning to an all new winning future era in Texan football. It's not one player it's one team to win. Some of the greatest NFL players have made marks in the game but not necessarily championships. :fans: Otherwise you would have two of the best teams in a SB game with all postitions filled with No#1 picks, I don't think so, and I think teams winning to all the glory with out those picks did go all the way. I disagree with commented idea that this kind of player only comes out to No#1 pick in so many years so don''t let it pass. Well players at that ranking never did pan out but the money sure did and that has alot to do with it...ah yes good ol money. They come in and out every year and will continue to do so through the life of the NFL and all other sports. I can't wait it can only get better and I'm there...
