McCardell to San Diego

Jay Glazer, of Fox Sports, reports on Foxsports.com that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached an agreement with the San Diego Chargers that will send WR Keenan McCardell to San Diego. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

Tampa Bay will receive the Chargers' third- and sixth-round picks in the upcoming draft in exchange for McCardell.

I think the Bucs got robbed on that deal, better to get something than nothing I guess...

SD recently signed Bobby Shaw former WR of the Buffalo Bills. Looks like they're looking to upgrade their receivers.

He is old, but yeah I still say he is a top possesion WR in this league.

Chargers should have gone after Antonio Bryant instead. McCardell is old and hasnt played since last season.

He also wanted to be paid more than his 2.5 million a year salary back in Tampa Bay. I'm not sure if he'd settle for a change in scenery and the same pay.

Dick Vermeil commented a couple weeks ago that he like McCarrdell, but he didn't like him at the 2.5 million dollar price.

I think Caldwell is out for the year. That is why they got McCardell and signed Shaw.
