Forum members...especially this gpshafer 1976 dude. He can't spell to save his neck and his grammar is....heh-heh-heh, of course I'm kidding. ;)

But seriously, I chaulk it up to boredom. Football season is still over 3 months away, the 'exciting' part of off-season is now over a month behind us...so it's just a waiting game.

There is so much energy wrapped up in anticipation among fans...it needs a place to vent, and this is as good of a place as any, 'eh? :superman:
 
Kubiak will cut Mathis if his ego (aka "big mouth") becomes an issue. I enjoy watching Mathis and I loved seeing him return both of those Returns in person at Reliant. In fact, I was pretty close to getting a Mathis jersey... but I'm not gunna get one until I see his name on the '06 depth chart. The last thing we need on this team is a TO.... (and if you haven't noticed... both my avatar and my name are for Mathis... so I really don't want the guy to get cut).
 
No way IMO is Kubes cutting Mathis....this year. However, if he hasn't improved enough by next year and we need a roster spot for a better team, then he could be on thin ice. Still probably wouldn't, but it could happen, but no way this year.

I kinda agree with you there because he has seen what Mathis can so as a Returner. In mathis' defense, I do not think he is getting near or close to TO status yet as far as a disease in the clubhouse. he is not that big and I think if it got there someone would line him up in the slot in practice and "T" off on him one time is all that would take for him to get the picture.
 
Mathis isn't ever going to be cut. A guy like him will be traded around and picked up in FA....but he isn't going to get cut because he wrecked his damn motorcycle and supposevely hasn't got along with the WR coach. You don't cut your only Pro Bowl player you picked up for 3rd round money....

But yeah there should have been one post....but damn that offseason boredom.
 
Ya I don't see Mathis getting cut as he is only in his second year and he made the pro-bowl last year. They can work on his ego problems and it is not easy to get a kick returner like him.
 
If there are no more off-field 'incidents,' Kubiak will have to get in the octagon with Coach Joe (and win) before Mathis gets cut.

Eddie Drummond....you can find Pro Bowl KR, the problem is getting them to contribute in their natural positions. Pbuc for PR!
