Assuming that the Eagles and Patriots will be ranked higher than the Texans, that puts them at 14th overall. Definentally the best that Madden has had the Texans ranked since they've been in the league. These rosters are current as of May 16th (right before the start of E3). Looks like it's not going to be a huge disadvantage playing as the Texans now... I cant wait for the season to start and Madden 06 to come out!
 
Hopefully they made David a bit faster this year.


I believe he was in the low 70's in last year's game. I think only Vick, Culpepper and McNabb had a higher speed ratting. I thought that was pretty accurate.
 
I don't know if it is posible but they have to make AJ more physical, this game loses its realness when he is decleated by a 5'8" 170lbs nobody.
 
I feel ya on the AJ thing. In passing he was fast.. but that was about the only aspect of his game madden gave to him. But when you ran the ball to AJ's side you could see that he was a beast. He always pushes the CB back and holds his block. So even though these tiny CBs could tackle him easily, they sure couldnt shed him as a blocker. I just hope that his size and phyiscal ability is more closley related in this years version.
 
I think most of the tackling capabilities in last years version has to do with the fact the game was based on defensive play.
 
I likes... Although it seems strange to me we are above some playoff teams from last season. :highfive:
 
I just hope they make our rookies better too and I hope that they give our LBs more potential to intercept.
 
Another thought... Madden never seemed to do a good job with putting the right personell in their positions when dealing with the 3-4 defense. As we know, very few teams that run the 4-3 have 300 lb ends. Every DE in the draft on Madden is usually around 250 lbs. When you move a DT over to end he looses points throughout his rankings. They should make it so that if you run the 3-4 you can convert him to an OLB without such a dramatic dropoff in play. Same with DT to DE.
 
How could the Bengals be rated higher overall than the Texans? Just look at the numbers the Bengals offence was rated only one point higher than ours. Their defence is rated seven points worse than ours but they are still rated one point better overall.....it just makes no sense at all. add the numbers up offence plus defence and you'll see we have 5 more points than the bengals (161 to 166) but apparently their still better what a joke

i had the same problem, what you do is you have to actually edit the player, and change his position, not just move him on the depth chart

no, the pats and eagles are not ranked there, plus even with your philosophy... there would be 8 AFC teams, vs 4 NFC teams, that doesnt work either
 
Sorry, didn't notice that they weren't ranked but I still think we are better than a few of the teams that are ranked better than us. Just can't wait till we can talk about actual football instead of Madden 2006.
