Tomorrow night the NFLN will air an episode of "A Football Life"...

It will obviously cover his crazy antics and his being a mean, nasty and violent player but will delve into his use of steroids which sadly killed him...

Listen, I hate the Broncos or Raiders (hate is kinda too strong), but I always loved the way Alzado played the game, whether a Bronco or a Raider.

Y'all watch it, as I will and give some feedback, one way or the other.
 
yeah, I always loved to hate Alzado and Matuzak, but damn they could play ball

My guess is yes since the network preview said that he made a deal with the devil and the devil came to collect, or something similar to that.
 
I sure most of us, if not all, know the story. Still I watched. Hearing Tom Jackson was most interesting. [paraphrasing] "I'd sic him on a player if I wanted the guy out of a play. He'd go after him."

Matt Millen was being mostly facetious in his comments, but I still found myself shaking my head when he was talking about Lyle. He just came off as a goof (head trauma?).

There was one scene where he was on the Raider sideline and I swear I saw James Garner enter the picture for a second to pat Alzado on the butt after a good play. I don't know if it was him, but I do seem to recall he was an avid Raider fan. I was just surprised he had such access to the bench if it was indeed Garner.

Oh, and Dan Pastorini took a freaking beating from Alzado. IIRC, Pastorini was really hurt from one of those body slams.

Sad show. Love him, hate him. With Lyle Alzado, both are acceptable simultaneously.
 
I had completely forgotten about Alzado boxing Ali. That was probably my favorite part, especially when Ali got tired of Alzado's BS and started using his head as a speed bag.
