you whorn fans are delusional.

Yes!! More BCS madness! Rutgers still probably doesn't have much chance to get to the National Championship, but if they beat West Virginia, things will get very interesting. IMO, the Big East is underrated not overrated. How is the ACC any better than the Big East this year?

the ACC is certainly not better than the big east.

you won't find a better collection of 5-6 coaches than in the Big East.

Texas is now gonna be #3 in both human polls and is gonna jump Florida in the BCS, putting them in 3rd place.

That means if they can hold off Florida then they will jump over the loser of the Michigan/Ohio St game & be #2.

if both texas and UF wins out, no question, UF finishes with the tougher schedule. potentially a rematch with auburn in the SEC championship, or, if arkansas wins out, that'll put them in the top 7-8, so either way, UF is going to play a team ranked anywhere between 4-8. as well as south carolina and FSU.

Well South Carolina doesnt mean anything this week cuz Texas is playing Kansas St.

Kansas St has a better record & they should be ranked in the same area for strength of schedule purposes.

You are right tho. Florida would have to lose.

nah i'll go with delusion.
Yep, that .002 differance in the BCS is really something to call delusion, go ahead. Florida has had some good wins, but they really have not been impressive since the Tennessea game. Getting dominated by Auburn dosnt help your cause, how they are below Florida in the rankings I will never understand

WHo you lose to should be counted as much as who you beat. We have only lost to the best team in the country, and we are a much better team since that game. But no matter how it ends, I think this is further proof that we need a playoff to determine the best team by playing other great teams, not by who beats more mediocre teams then the other.

That is what happens when you play North Texas, Rice, & Sam Houston St.

The Ohio St game has almost no impact on their SOS cuz of those games.

Any argument against a playoff system is assinine. You got a 9-0 Rutgers team that could finish unbeaten and not even play in a BCS bowl. Basically, you have teams that have no shot before the season starts because of who they are.

They do it in Div IAA with no problems.

You can throw out the rankings and put all the conference champions in the playoff with a few at large or wildcard teams.

However, it's all about the money that the Bowls pay all these schools that otherwise wouldn't be in the postseason.

Until a playoff is implemented this sport is a joke.

If Rutgers finished undefeated they would be guaranteed a BCS Bowl as the Big East Champion.

Ray Rice looks like an NFL running back now... everything is positive yardage. He's a combination of Ricky Williams power and Priest Holmes size/vision/patience without true sprinter's speed or great hip swivel. He should be a top 10 pick but might fall to the late first because of size.

Brohm looked like he had awful pocket presence all night, stepping right into the rush a bunch of times, not noticing the pocket collapsing, not getting rid of the ball, etc.

#56 for Rutgers is a stud, but he's only 6'2", 260 lbs. #50 is a great tackler. Their DBs must be pretty good for their coach to blitz all game like that and not get burned.

Rutgers looked like the most fundamentally sound and disciplined team I've seen all year. If they win out they deserve their shot at the national title, they're in a BCS conference and they beat a team people would have let in to the championship, why not? So what if they'd be overmatched, strange things can happen and they'll have earned their right.

Why is it automatically assumed that a playoff system would kill the money generated by the bowl games?? Especially if you incorporate the various Bowl games into the playoff system??

uh what? dominated by auburn? and they're ranked below florida because they were blown out at home by arkansas, and because UF is a better team than auburn.

As I was told yesterday, you are absoltuley wrong. ;)

Brohm will be either the first or second QB drafted when he comes out so I guess your wrong.

Playing in the Big East doesnt mean he isnt good.

He was the #1 High School player in the entire country as a senior.

He could have gone anywhere but he wanted to stay near his home so he went to Louisville.

but your senior Qb is playing like a freshman. i really dont think your short-yardage and running qb's level of play is that significant right now...
leak has been pretty good considering the offense he's playing in. that being said, he blows. however, the team wins because of their defense, and will go s far as they go.

Do you root for Florida, Florida State, & Miami...... and any other florida team that I may have forgotten, or are you a Florida Alum, and only root for Florida??

so is tebow...

Dude all Tebow does is run. He had two touchdown passes, one was a fake run where he did a jump shot that barely made it to a TE that was 6 yards away...and the other one the guy was WIDE open, almost any QB in the NCAA could have made both of those throws. 100% playcalling for those two touchdown plays. The rest of Tebow is a running back.

yup. i'm well aware. that does nothing but solidify my argument though.

It'll be fun watching us beat them next year, but it is about this year.

I can only enjoy one Gator beating at a time. :cowboy1:

I think Xavier Lee is going to light Wake Forest's horrible pass defense up this week, gain some confidence by leading the team to a win against the division leader. Then we stomp W. Michigan the next week.

Then comes Florida vs Florida State here @ DOAK CAMPBELL STADIUM in Tallahassee. The only bad thing about that game is it is during our Thanksgiving break...and I will be in Houston. I can't wait to ruin Florida's chances at a National Championship Game. It would only be right.
