Let's Cut to the Chase, Shall We?

If Carr get's sacked, we should have drafted D'Brick

If the defense staggers with no sacks, we should have drafted Mario Williams.

If Carr throws an imcomplete pass, we should have drafted Vince Young.

If DD falls short of a first down, we should have drafted Reggie Bush.

If running backs run up the middle for 1st downs, we should have gotten AJ Hawk.

Then the flip side..... :stirpot:

If we get Vince Young, and he flops, we should have taken Bush

If we get Bush and the D flops, we should have taken Mario Williams

If we get Mario Williams and the O flops, we should have gotten D'Brick.

If we get D'Brick and Carr still get's sacked, we should have :brickwall

No way is everyone going to be satisfied with the draft, but it sure is fun.:redtowel:

Ha! Your absolutely right... We all have analysis paralysis, but I tell you what this is the most fun, I have had in an NFL season, guessing what is gonna happen in the draft!

I am satisfied getting Mario or Bush. I think we cannot go wrong either way with those choices. It is like deciding do you want pocket aces spade and heart or pocket aces club and diamond.

Just need to add Vernon Davis into the mix and I think you've got it all covered! :)

VY has never failed any team he was on. heck, reggie bush, came in 3rd in the calif. 100 yd dash and would not have placed if he ran in Texas.

bush hasn't shown squat, when his opponents were pac-10, Texas shut him down.

Draft Young, we will Win.
Texans did not shut RB down. Look at the stats agains.

Though you are being funny about it, there are so few players that are so good that they would look good no matter what organization they go to.

Does David Carr have the capacity to be a great QB or is he doomed by being the starting QB of a expansion team?

If D'Brick comes here and fails by being forced into more of a role than he would be on a more experienced line, does that mean he is a flop or was just put in a bad situation?

If Vince Young ends up with the Raiders, an organization that is unkind in developing QBs from scratch and does poorly does that mean he would have been a flop elsewhere with better QB development?

There are any number of alternative histories that you can come up with but the bottom line is that with most players, unless they really are remarkable, they have to be in a situation that is a good fit. This is especially true for the positions that take more time to develop.

It is also a reason why players like AJ, Robinson and Mathis are pretty remarkable. They got the benefit of playing earlier than they might have, and were able to take advantage of that opportunity.

look at the final score agains. and while your at it, Texans didn't shut bush down, but TEXAS DID. why did he swing at a Texas player out of bounds, just like he did against a fresno st. player. bush is a mental case.

if bush was so great, why was he out on the crucial 4th down play? why was Young in on every crucial 4th down play? who came thru in the clutch? let me help you, VY did.

lastly, who had better stats?? the hypesman winner or Vincent Young?

Man, get off his jock. Who has more Championship rings? Who can read? Year after year RB was in there. VY had what 2 good seasons? This has already been debated to death. Get over it and go have VY's baby. :superman:

Reggie also had Matteo as a huge distraction for defenses. Now, I do not know if Reggie is a head case but I think he is the one who will have more injuries than Vince.I know Reggie is a gamer and can rip it up but we are talking about a Quarterback who can take it out of the other teams reach. People keep saying Reggie is a third down back .L.White looks pretty good but we have DD.Where are you DD lovers????? All I'm saying is we have a pretty good core of running backs.

I'm not sure. Did USC commission championship rings for winning the AP poll?

Are they recognized? Do co-champs get rings? You have no arguement. I'm out. Have fun in this la la land thread.

It wasn't an argument. It was a question. I didn't know who has more championship rings.

Just a reminder until the draft is over. there are 5 camps right now...

1) Draft Reggie
2) Draft Mario
3) Draft Vince
4) Draft D'Brick
5) Trade Down

So which camp are you staying in tonight?

1) Draft Reggie= 80%
2) Draft Mario = 10%
3) Draft Vince= 2%
4) Draft D'Brick= 5%
5) Trade Down= 3%

this coming from a former D'bricker/ trade downer- we're taking reggie.

At #1 it's got to be Mario or Bush, I'd still prefer Mario but I think it will be Bush. Of course I'd prefer to be able to trade down to #3/4 and still grab Bush or Mario there and pay them less money while acquiring more picks, but I don't see that really happening.

My ranking of personal preference (excluding trade down because that just enhances any of these options):
Draft Mario
Draft Bush
(*probably a couple players I could write in here that I'd prefer to get over Brick/VY if we traded down)
Draft D'Brick
Draft Vince

My estimation:
Draft Reggie = 90%
Draft Mario = 9%
Draft Vince = 0.5%
Draft D'Brick = 0.5%
*Trading down entirely depends on what offers are made, if legitimate offers to move down to #3-5 are made then I think they do it, beyond that I doubt it, so I won't include that in my prediction, but trading down would decrease the chance or targeting Reggie and increase the chance of targeting Mario/Vince/D'Brick or some others like Hawk/Vernon Davis/Huff/etc.
