Let me count the ways...

...that we blew it today.

Individual failures First
Offense

Carr -
Ran INTO at least one sack
Lost a fumble by pretending he's a DL (swim move)
Ran out of bounds for a loss w/o throwing it away (twice in same series) Took several Delay of game calls

Bradford -
Dropped an easy, wide open pass for a much-needed 3rd down conversion

Defense

Babin -
Stood still (and waited) to be blocked in Pitt backfield (1st quarter)
Jumped offsides and extended a Steelers drive on a big 3rd down

Peek -
Took a bonehead roughing PF on a 4th down punt, extending Pitt drive

PBuc -
Another Ole' tackle on a TD run

Team Failures
Going for the BOMB on 4th and 9...after not even trying 4th & inches LAST week? (Not to mention blowing a FG chance with the Delay of game, then blowing the conversion)

Having the announcing crew predict the next play based on PAINFULLY OBVIOUS passing / running formations.

Utilizing a 2-man rush and having 5 guys all fail to find the receiver in their area?

No safety support on several LONG passing plays in the center of the field.

Complete lack of effective Blitz.

These were the EASY ones, feel free to add. :brickwall

to their credit, this was a week one mistake and they were smart to go for it this week. Down big in the 4th quarter, you got to go for it. They should have gone for it in week one.

Overall lack of putting pressure on Big Ben. The bigger problem is I see no end to this issue. I see no way of fixing this with our current roster. Maybe TJ steps up here as a rookie but his postion rookies rarely do well.
