last play

i think the scariest part of that last play was not p-buch almost being beat, nut the fact that we had no deep saftey!Even the announcer says "nothing they can do other than throw it deep", instead we leave P-buch on an island and are lucky to come away with a win becuase of his individal play. Another example of our crapy coaching not playing to hte situtaion...:brickwall

Caught another quick glance of the play and we look to be playing zone, big suprise right? Which would mean the safety on that side of the field screwed up, and left the WR by himself, another big suprise. That would me PBuch made one hell of a play of the ball. Real quick reaction. Not sure if we were actually in zone coverage, thats what it looked like to me. Anyone else have some input?

I think sould be playing man on the outside with Pbuc and Drob. Play cover-2 deep. Put Faggins on the 3rd reciever on passing downs. Otherwise blitz 6-7 every down. I sounds crazy, but once the players got used to being in the backfield maybe they can force a fumble or get sack. I couldn't watch the game, but G-funk did alright inthe stats, but nobody else really stood out. Is there anyone who performed above average on defense in the game?

Sitting low in the endzone, you people that were at home had no idea how close that was to a touchdown. Buchanon was beat, and at the last second he threw his hand up. It literally was inches between fame and hatred.

Coleman probably had support on anything deep but he was fooled and helped the decoy on the play instead of the true target. I'll have to look at it again but that was my first impression.

The coverage where everyone is in man except for 1 linebacker and the safties is called Cover 1. I do not understand why we dont use the cover 1 more often. With Robinson being as good as he is I believe he can go man to man with just about any reciever in the league. With Buchanon playing as poor a zone coverage as he is putting him in man to man coverage cant hurt.

im not sure he can cover most of the #1's in the league untill we put more pressure on the qb. hes had some trouble this year with man coverage.
