I BLEED TEXANS!

Dale Robertson, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is still trying to get TE Jeb Putzier to improve his blocking. Kubiak said, "He's got to get better at the line of scrimmage if he's going to be a down-in, down-out player. I've been telling him that for four years, Hopefully, I'll be telling him for 12. He knows where his deficiencies are. But he also knows how to use his strengths." The team would like Putzier to block, but they don't need him to. Putzier can give the team offensive productivity, something Kubiak wants from the tight end position. As a result, Kubiak has an advantage over the other tight ends on the team.

Same stuff I heard for 4 years as a Bronco fan about Jeb. Great receiver, average blocker at the point of attack. He couldn't beat out Stephen Alexander in Denver last year. The starting job was Jeb's to have but...

Kubiak????????????????I thought Kubiak was our QB!

I feel uneasy about the overall "feel" about the article. The writer makes Shanahan and the whole Broncos organization look like a bunch of idiots while he praises Kubiak as if he was the secret to Denver's success. Sorry, but that's a whole lot of horsecrap. It's Kubiak that has something to prove, not Shanahan. I'm a Texans fan too, but I'm smart enough to recognize some biased homer-talk when I see it.

I dont think so. I believe that the writer said that Kubes was popular with the players, and not much more than that.
