Updating a previous report, according to Katie Lewis of HoustonTexans.com, Houston Texans PK Kris Brown (concussion) has been declared day-to-day by head coach Dom Capers after suffering a concussion in Week 1. Brown's practice availability for this week has not yet been determined.

I'd expect both of them to play come Sunday. If a player can make it to practice then Dom usually lets them play in the game.

did anyone think the hit on kris brown was more severe than the hit on Feagles during the giants game? especially with the sound, it was brutal.

I was really scared he was paralyzed, he wasn't moving at all. One of the trainers grabbed his hand and it looked pretty limp, it freaked me out pretty good.

Has anyone heard that Kris Brown will not be available for Sunday's game with Detroit? Mentioned it on channel 13! Who will place kick if that happens?

OVERHEARD AT BROWN's MEDICAL EXAM:

"OK, Kris, how many goalposts do you see?"

"Five."

"Uh...take a seat, son."

This bites. I really like our kicking game and I think we're in trouble without Brown...especially with our newfound red zone troubles.

I heard an interview with him on 610 on the way home. He stated " I don't even remember the hit....and I don't remember the game".

Tim Melton said that he and his wife watched a college game Saturday, and when he opened the sports page on Monday he was shocked at the score of that game, he didn't remember watching it at all. Melton said he asked his wife if that score was correct. Melton said he didn't remember watching that college game or getting hit on Sunday. I would guess Stanley would take over kicking duties if Brown can't play on Sunday.

I think it goes a little something more like this:

"OK, Kris, how many goalposts do you see?"

"Five."

"Close enough."

I'll tell you one thing...I'm glad we picked up Bruener....the guy is a stud, a true leader, and plays his heart out. He has done nothing but impress me.

I'm not liking what I'm reading in this thread!
Kris Brown really having all these memory problems from that hit? That is just awful.
Is it just wait and see time with something like that?

Capers said right on the audio portion of the front page that Kris should return to practice tomorrow or Friday.

Or we could ask Diapher on texanstalk.

That is what Kris Brown kept asking his wife during the Eagles game. He was just talking about it on FOX. He can't remember anything about the entire weekend or common NFL knowledge like above. Concussion's (sp.) are scary!

at least his only responsiblity is to kick the ball. he doesn't have to remember complex formations and plays and audibles... just get out there kick and get the h-ell out of the way.

i think Kris will be fine,,,,,,,,,,it was a He** of a hit but i think some of these stories are a little far fetched ! He looked fine on the side line later in the game and kicked an Extra point ! He'll kick Sunday !
