Klint Kubiak - Saints OC

I think it will be interesting to watch Klint Kubiak bringing the Shanahan offense to the Saints this year, specifically from the Texans point-of-view.

Will the offense have a similar success with a 'lesser' QB, in Derek Carr? If they do, I'd expect the Shanahan Offense to start taking over the league.

If they don't, it will be interesting to see where and how it failed.

I also think the results will also affect the 'Brock Purdy is a system QB vs. MVP capable QB' debate.

1) Kubiak's offense surging in first two weeks of NFL action
Early candidate for the NFL AP Assistant Coach of the Year … Klint Kubiak? Through two games, the Saints offense is absolutely humming, totaling 91 points (New Orleans scored 36 combined points in Weeks 1-2 last season).
The only team since the 1970 merger to score more points through two games than the 2024 Saints were the 2009 Saints, who put up 93 in their first two games. That season ended in a Super Bowl XLIV victory for New Orleans.

And there he goes! I say we offer all but head coaching salary to Klay Kubiak, cause I think Slowik has a %95 chance of becoming a HC next year. Klay will likely be offered the OC job from the 49ers (which is unfilled.) Hopefully the lure of CJ Stroud, and big money can get him out of the Niners organization. (I forget if there's a rule that allows the 49ers to reject any offers.)

Klay can take a full OC position. No NFL team can stop an assistant from taking a promotion as a coordinator.
