March 1st is the big deadline for Texans and Carr.

How the Texans decide on Carr will impact the top of the draft. Whether they keep Carr or Carr is gone, we'll know by March 1 how the top of the draft will mostlikely go.

Kiper says there's clearly two ways to decide: Keep Carr and build around him with someone like Bush. Or, let him go and snag Vince Young.

Kiper, if I heard him correctly, actually mentioned that Vince is the talk of the Texans fan base right now. He said we're screaming for Vince to be "the guy."

Must be checking up on the message boards, eh?
 
Vince Young man oh man if he decides to come out early it would make Casserly's job so much more interesting. Clearly VY passing motion is not good and yesterday he completed a lot of short to intermediate passes and he almost had one picked off that would've sealed the game for UT. With that said he has the winner's mentality and he has that "it" factor that all the great ones seem to possess. I think VY will return to UT for one more year but nobody will blame him if he doesn't.
 
Don't forget, VY could make all of this moot if he decides to stay put. I believe he has nine days to make his decision. That being said, we will know at least the first part of this domino chain in the very near future...

He is turning PRO! Why should he stay when you have hall of famers like Ronnie Lott saying he needs to turn pro. What advantage will VY have by staying at UT?
How can you do better than 13-0 and Championship? How can his stalk rise higher next yr than it is now?
 
You will know what VY is going to do by the 16th. I am pretty sure that is the last day of declaration.

Why did Matt Lienart stay after winning the Heisman and the National Championship. Because he thought he could do it again. I think most people here will agree college is the best time of your life, why get out early when you are the hero on campus? I'm not saying he will or will not stay, but I won't be surprised if he does.
