Jimmy Johnson and McNair at Astrodome. Hmmm....

GP

Go Texans!
Let the wild speculation begin.

It looks like Bob McNair and Jimmy Johnson were side by side at the Astrodome--see the photo in one of the news stories on the texans home page--making the rounds with the New Orleans evacuees.

Now why in the world is Jimmy Johnson with Bob? :hmmm:

It says JJ was part of a Fox TV crew (doing a story on the evacuees).

Watch Fox's pregame show this weekend. If there's no story on the show--no footage, etc.--then I say he and Bob are dating, if you know what I mean.

Good job of answering your own question.

Thanks, but no thanks. His post salary-cap performance leaves me a bit wanting. Anybody remeber the whooping J-ville put on Miami, in the playoffs no less?

Besides he's said several time he ain't coming back.

JJ has repeatedly said he has no desire to coach again. He is living on the beach, getting paid big bucks to talk football every Sunday. I wouldn't try to read something into the fact he was down here to do a story. You know Oprah was down here as well, maybe she is going to be a new Texans cheerleader.

We want Ditka!

Obviuously Johnson will be on the Texans' sidelines Sunday in Buffalo leading
the team, we hope, to victory and Dom Capers will be working on his resume
Sunday afternoon. I mean, that conclusion is inescapable, right ?

So what if the Texans win 11 this year? Do we keep Capers or let him go? You people who wont even let this season begin and already want Capers to go, need to go to Dallas, where the weather changes as much as their fans do. :texflag:

That would be amazing. If nothing else, more players would want to come here.

Either way, we will most certainly be getting a new batch of coaches in the offseason.

Well they go 11-5 I'll be very happy. Capers and CC are entrenched here for another ten years or so. I don't believe we will sweep Jacksonville or Tennessee. I don't believe we will come out of the opening srecth 3-1. I believe it will be more on the order of 1-5. If they win the game this weekend, get on a run anything is possible. Steelers did it last year we could do it this year. Runs are very powerfull things in football. TBS, I don't believe we've improved the lines enough to merit that much hope.

P.S. I luv the Cougars....but your quote is wrong. I'm so tired of the Courgar High sheet, but this is where it comes from. The Quote is : Upon losing the Election in the fall of 1835 David Crockett Said, " You may all go to hell. And I will go to Texas."

Dome visit
After practice Thursday, Texans owner Bob McNair , former Cowboys and Dolphins coach Jimmy Johnson and three Texans rookies — safety C.C. Brown , outside linebacker Kenneth Pettway and defensive lineman Alfred Malone — toured the Reliant Astrodome to talk to the evacuees and sign autographs.

They were escorted by three SMG executives — events manager Darrell Simon , director of marketing and public relations Nina Jackson and marketing and public relations manager Nicole Meszaros — as they met with evacuees.

Brown, the sixth-round pick who will start against the Bills on Sunday, played at Louisiana-Lafayette.

Johnson's visit to the Dome with McNair and the players will be shown on Fox's pregame show Sunday.

JOHN McCLAIN and MEGAN MANFULL

Be nice if some sort of future relationship bloomed for next season outta this. Oh well, A man can dream, huh?

***Edit: Sorry Mods for opening up this old can of worms ... Didn't know it was out there already. :tomato:
