Jakeem Grant 4.10 40 time

He is a KR but at 5'6 may be a 7th rd pick Saints scout say 4.10 i am sure teams going to have him in to visit and test his time.

Sooo, 4.1 or 4.34? The kid's a burner regardless, but it's kinda a big difference.

His official time was 4.34. Same deal as the Cumberland kid (4.32). Someone hand times the guy really fast and people get excited about the unofficial times and jump the gun.

I know the 4.1 was off of hand times and that those are all boy cried wolf silly at this point, what I didn't know was how TTech came to the 4.34 time and why that was then deemed official.

This kid and Braverman will be great late rd value pick as slots.

Grant also has great quickness and change of direction. He's a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Trindon Holiday with better hands.

There are official timers who sit at the finish line and record all the times. They are usually the more experienced scouts who have done Pro Days for years and time consistently. Think Charley Casserly. When the NFL Network timer went down during the Combine this year the NFLN used Casserly's hand times to give live updates on unofficial times. None of his times were as accurate as the official laser time, but they were consistently in the ball park.

The scout who timed him at 4.1 was probably either just inexperienced or he really liked Grant. Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks both told stories the other day about purposefully timing a few guys faster at their Pro Days in order to convince their bosses to draft them.

Yep, he can be a difference maker in nfl. His change of direction is crazy.
