is this guy worth looking at

I've got a 6th round grade on him.

He is worth a look if he is available in the 6th. In today's league, you can never have too many good DB's.

Southern Mississippi's, Lardarius Webb

Scott from Abilene Christian is the same guy. Bushels full of talent.....but he has some bad paper. On both guys you tell me Joe....Has our bar lowered enough.....and the locker room strong enough with leaders to handle one of the red tag guys ? Tune in Saturday. they are close enough to the division now they are going to start gambling one of these drafts to get over the hump. Everyone wants to give a guy a second chance....however you have to have a strong locker room to handle the knuckle heads. Gotta have strong leaders on the team to take a chance on these type of players. If you don't, they'll shatter your chemistry. see Lawrence Phillips/ Steve Young.

That's a good point Pete.

Sounds like a really interesting prospect. I'm all for giving guys a second shot, generally though I'm all for letting other teams give a guy a second shot. :) In this case, it sounds like he's grown up. He got a second chance, the southern miss coaches apparently said he deserved one... and he made the most of it. I liked this part:

“I watched film with the quarterbacks that week and I always kept them close,” Webb recalled. “I always wanted to know how they view me. When they read, what are they reading? I wanted to be the smartest guy out there. It’s a game of skill, but the smart guy wins. Whoever knows what’s coming first is going to make the play.”

“He’s always been very inquisitive and wanting to know why we do things schematically,” Thomas said. “Once he sees it visually, he can go out and do it and not every player can do that.”
I love it when I hear a player that wants to study and watch film. I like it even more when they put extra time in watching with other positions.

I'm thinking in rounds 6 & 7 there are many players with similar skills. Why take a chance even if it doesn't cost much? I would gamble if he was head and shoulders above others.

i just saw he was talented and I had the secondchance thing thinking but who knows. I am not sure we are entirely ready to take a knuckle head I just thought he might change and not be a nuckle head, Hey thanks for the input guys it really helps me to understand better.

I could care less about speculating over the 15th pick cause they are going to make the pick wether I like it or not. I am prepareing myself to put my 200% behind this guy cause he is signing up to play for the best team in the NFL.
