Is there a safety worth taking?

just curious.. Kenny Phillips? would he be worth it at 18?

most mocks have us taking something else.

I am wondering if anyone would be a "Bob sanders" type of player for us ..is anyone in the draft would y'all consider?
just wondering, I don't follow college football.. I am just going off of what i read here and there

I dont like Phillips at #18.

I would love to have DaJuan Morgan from NC State in the 3rd if he is available.

Or perhaps David Roach of TCU in the 5th.

And if not, then Marcus Griffin in the 6th wouldn't be too bad.

Nobody is really worth taking right away. There are some guys later on who would be worth a look. Quintin Demps, Tyrell Jackson, and DJ Parker come to mind (and of course Dajuan Morgan like everyone else will suggest).

I like Phillips and wouldn't be upset if we took him at 18. But dare I say looking ahead to next year's draft, safety could be one of the deepest positions (Jenkins, Rolle, Moore, Mays, Harris).

Roach looked like one of the more fluid of the safety prospects at the Combine.

I beleive FS winds up being Brandon Flowers natural position in the NFL, thats of course after filling in for Dunta Robinson.

Thomas DeCoud out of California intrigues me. He was a CB turned Safety in 2005 and has impressed since then. At 6'3/8" 207lbs., he has the size. He's graded as a 2nd to 3rd round pick.
