Irish @ Sooner Game Thread

Mistake taking ball out of the endzone by Oklahoma. However Landry has great protection & goes two for two. Sooners no huddle, look fast, jacked up! Bad snap. Big loss. Nix first pressure up the middle. 4th & 29 punt

Oklahoma drive stalled thanks to Nix doing his JJ Watt impression & tipping the pass in the backfield. Excellent vertical, most impressive so far of all the Irish including T'eo. Landry Jones also looks sharp, picking apart the Notre Dame secondary.

Irish in front 7-3 early. Big running play up the middle nobody @ home.

ps. really digging sig by false start ~ thanks

unbelievable Nix trailing a screen play that looked like it was going for big yardage makes the tackle in open space. Are you kidding me?

Liking what I'm seeing of Nix and Teo

BL what do you think of Tom Wort? He might be a good 3-4th rd pick.

He was definitely in our discussions, I've always liked his game. Third round I believe so good value. Think he could be a plus speed rusher & strong enough to seal the edge & cover if needed.

I really like Oklahoma both defensively & offensively. Notre Dame has taken their game to another level, they could be for real?

there is no reason that crane needs to be that close to the field of play, narrow my a$$ that may have just torn his acl.......

Nix looks almost like he is off sides on the snap, his anticipation is like a DE (Watt). From the actual ball snap the lineman is at disadvantage (hey they just called him offsides how about that). Very quick twitch. I'm afraid guys he is first round talent :htown2atx:

Irish 10 Sooners 6. Really don't think things could go better for Notre Dame in first half. Somehow, someway Oklahoma finds a way to score a TD & shutdown a limited, yet surprising Irish offense. 17-16 Oklahoma is my final score prediction. :barman:

30-13 Notre Dame. Defense overwhelms balance, although for some reason the Irish offense performed better than I expected in Norman. Some questionable calls, luck of the Irish, but bottom line ND defensive front 7 made the difference. Nix played extremely well. Lane Johnson, Oklahoma LT sustained what looked like a hyper extended knee but hung in there like a warrior. T'eo made his case for Heisman, about time a defensive player wins that thing. :)

That late holding call that brought back that first TD changed the complexion of the game.

Lots of talent on both sides, Notre Dame looks like they have a great front seven lead by Te'o who is coming on strong for his Heisman candidacy along with Klein from K-state.

Now ND has to be careful about any letdowns before the big showdown with USC.

1. Alabama
2. K State
3. Notre Dame
4. Oregon

It might be a good idea to implement the four team playoff this year....

Nix is impressive, few big men move the way he does. Very athletic for his size. Teo is impressive as well, he was everywhere making plays. That defensive front 7 for ND controlled the game. I was rooting for OU because I don't like ND, but that was a good game.
