Did some home work. Since the 1st year of the Super Bowl 1967. There have been 14 QB`s and 7 RB`s selected #1 overall. Of these not 1 running back has won a Super Bowl and only 1 QB has won the Super Bowl in his 1st 10yrs. That is Terry Bradshaw. I don`t count Troy Aikman because of the Walker Trade. (Dallas was able to build a team around Aikman) You notice that Terry Bradshaw had 1 of the best Defenses ever! Steel Curtain

Walker Trade

With that line of thinking you shouldn't count Bradshaw either because none of his team mates could go anywhere because free agency was virtually non existant. This allowed Pittsburgh to build a team around him.

Why limit it to the 1st 10 years? And, JMO, but not counting Aikman is silly.

I pick 10 because people expect to win a SB with a QB pick#1 overall in a couple of yrs. As for Aikman with the Walker trade teams don`t get that luxury of all those draft picks in that short amount of time to build up their team. Nothing against Aikman he was a good QB.

define a couple of years? i would say 5 at the least and would not put a limit on it, there is a reason why these teams are picking first.

yes you can just look at the draft of 1974

The nucleus of the team would have at least been togther for 1 SB. They had incredible drafts to build their team.
