Draft King Mailbag

The ones in bold really just seem out of place to me.

There are a lot of areas that need help. It's a definite possibility, but at the same time, Kubiak has said that the offense needs playmakers, and the only playmakers that haven't been set are the OT and the RB. I definitely think FS is the Texans' best chance to get the BPA for the position. By the time it gets to position 8 the top QB, RB, OT, DE, and DB are expected to have been picked.

As much as we talk about it, I don't think we will know for sure until after Free Agency in March. If any of these positions are picked up during free agency, it seems to me that it would reduce the options during draft time. Meaning that if the Texans get Clements from the Bills, defensive secondary may be less of a need.

I have always watched and love football, especially the NFL, but am still a novice when it comes to the draft. I updated with a seemingly more useful page.

That's cool, what happens on the field is what matters anyway. I didn't mean any harm with what I said, it was a joke (that I probably should have kept to myself)

Do you think we will take Landry though?

I don't think so, for a safety to be drafted in the top 8 they usually have to be pretty special, Landy seems pretty solid all-around and has the measureables, but he really didn't impress in the Sugar Bowl. I think Reggie Nelson might be the better safety prospect, but I'm not sure that he's worthy of a top 8 selection either. My personal opinion is that we will draft D-line becasue that's what will be available that is of value and it fits a team need. I'd look for us to end up with DT Branch, DE Anderson, or DE Adams if those 3 are gone, then that means Adrian Peterson is probably still on the board and I think we'd take him.

This pick makes this mock lose all credibility in my book. There is no way Zbikowski is a first rounder

I think Samardzija would be crazy not to go pitch for the Cubs and make his guaranteed money. But if football is in his heart, I'll watch him play. I would rather have him in Tenn. than Dwayne Jarrett like I have seen in some mocks

TXGRL it was a great attempt at giving posters another mock to look at so thanks for the post.

On another note (not directed at TXGRL) this mock is one of the worst I've seen...Quinn at the 1 after his dissapointing season and bowl game. Jamarcus Russell mid frist rounder?? There are some other very questionable spots that leave me scratching my head so I wont list them all.
