MorKnolle said:I'll hold Carr and anyone else accountable for their personal shortcomings and hold the team as a whole accountable for their win/loss shortcomings.
Yep, that about sums it up.infantrycak said:The 1st half of '04 was against poor D's, but he was putting up goofy numbers. After 5 games the Texans had the 2nd or 3rd O on yards in the AFC. Thru the 1st 8 games Carr had a QB rating of 95.1, 64 % completions, 270 ypg and was on pace for 4400 yds of passing. In the 1st 9 games of 2004 he never passed for less than 200 yds--in the 23 games since then he has had 5 games of over 200 yds.
More like the first 1/3 although his #'s sustained thru the half-way mark.MightyTExan said:Someone refresh my memory. Wasn't Carr rated in the top ten for the first half of the '04 season?

DITTONapa Auto Parts said:i guess for me to respect david as a real NFL QB he would have to stop taking sack wich are completely avoidable like 1.running out of bounds for negative yards. 2.throw a damn hail mary when the game is in reach not take a sack for the sake or QB rating 3.Not lock on to one target.4.win some games 5.show some leadership on the sideline on the field.
i dont ask for much just typical things that are expected from a qb.
wags said:The six shooter duel wouldn't be violent at all. It would go something like this:
Carr and Vince take their ten paces and turn around to face each other. Vince gets off the first shot but doesn't allow for Carr's tendency to scramble right early. He misses. Carr hasn't fired yet and continues running to the right. Vince reads Carr's route and aims carefully. Just as Vince is about to fire Carr runs himself into the side of a barn and falls to the ground. Almost simultaneously Vince fires his second shot missing Carr because of his fall. Young is unnerved as Carr lies unconscious. Vince doesn't miss, let alone twice. Vince throws down his six shooter and makes his way out of the state. Carr wins by default.
If only Carr could slip pass rushers as Keanu dodges bullets in The Matrix...HoustonFan said:...He could be like Keanu Reaves character in the Replacements...

I know, I know. Vince can.

At least he makes plays. I don't see him fumbling the ball or curling up in the fetal position in the pocket on a regular basis....I don't see big Ben throwing the ball in the stands on an extra point attempt instead of putting the ball up for grabs, looking for wr's downfield when the pocket breaks down, and he also makes tackles when he throws a pick. I'll never forget Carr chunking a pick and instead of chasing the player to make a tackle he starts to yell at everyone and throws a tantrum instead. Pittsburgh doesn't win without his huge play to Hines Ward on a busted play.mancunian said:yep sure does. His Superbowl passer rating - a masterley 22. something!!
There was also one game last season when the Steelers were leading at the end of the third/start of the forth they ran the ball 20 straight times!!!
