Texan in Japan
Rookie
I happen to be in Alabama this week and I picked up a local paper that had an article on Demarcus Ware.
In essence this kid is a pro-typical Texan kind of player...extremely hard worker, great attitude, high energy, etc. His coach's only complaint was that he was late to a couple of appointments because he was the lead vocals in his church choir!
Kid takes nothing for granted and will come in hard. According to the Montgomery Advertiser, he ran a 4.46; vertical of 38"; 225lbs X 28; power cleans 400lbs at pro-day workout!!
According to Frank Coyle (Draft Insiders): "He is best suited as 3/4 set where he can be an impact defender early in his career. He shows the outstanding aggression and suddenness off the edge to change games as a pass rusher... most likely will need further time learning 3/4 scheme to be a fulltime starter."
That would fit CC's comment on not drafting a starter. I'm just not sure he'll be around at 13 with more teams converting to 3/4.
