If you could add ONE player to the Texans who would it be.

If you could add ONE player to the Texans who would it be.

This was a tough one for me, Julius Peppers, Dwight Freeney, Peyton Manning, Walter Jones, Orlando Pace...lots of players we could really use.

I think I would take Julius Peppers. The guys is a monster and he is young.

I agree with Peppers and I know you said one, but we need a stud on the d-line, and Peppers fills that need, but we need a super stud on the o-line!!! Pace is past his prime, and other thoughts?

I want to say an Olineman.. but we need more than one good one.

I would say Roy Williams, cause then we would have no excuses for Carr not getting the ball to someone.

Id like to say Michael Vick.. cause our shoddy Oline may not hurt us so bad with him behind the line.. but I wouldnt trust our coaches to build hte offense around him. We are so stuck in our ways we would probably either make him a pocket passer or have him shagging punts.

Id love to pick Dwight Freeney cause I think he could provide us with a pass rush.

Id like to say Casey Hampton cause hes the kind of 3-4 NT that makes everyone else in the front 7 look better.

what im basicly saying is.. its in-freakin-possible to pick one player. So instead.. im going to take..

Bill Belichick.

The problem isnt a lack of talent.. its a lack of everything else.

That has to be the best post ive ever seen on this MB. :highfive: :trophy:

Randy Moss and Andre Johnson on the same team = unbeatable.
I would pass every play and get sacked half of the time. :brickwall

Ray Lewis..the guy brings it every play and his intensity fires up his whole team. We need a player like that. Teams have to game plan for him and account for him on every play. I'm sorry but Wong or Greenwood don't have those qualities.

:texans: Randy Moss would be my WR choice. If I go RB LT is the man. If I go defense then I would go for Peppers. Capers has to go. I would bring Gruden.

Seattle's Walter Jones, Baltimore's Jonathan Ogden, or St. Louis' Orlando Pace

We have got to start with the o-line, because nothing will change unless we control the trenches on the offensive side of the ball.

my list: (guys simply a large cut above anyone else at their position)- names lots of you have mentioned

QB: tom brady (he'd be my pick if i answered the question)

RB: LT

WR: CJ (a hall-of-famer in a nowhere market)

TE: gates

OL: Ogden or Jones

DL: Peppers

DB: Reed

i would like to add i can't second-guess drafting carr ahead of peppers. you still have to take carr- casserly hasn't screwed up the no-brainers. his problems are the brainers.

give me Bruce Mathews ... and a cloning machine :heh:

If I had to go defense.. Ted Washington or Tony Saragusa (however you spell it) ..I want a huge space eater in the middle of our D

Offensively.. I'd like either a center or a TE . (perferrably a Center first)

:texflag: :texans:
when will people realize that Shockey is overrated. he's still 10 times better than whoever we have going, but for TE's how could you not pick A. Gates. I would Gates in a Texans uniform. I'm not sure how good Brady would be outside of the Patriots program. I would go for McNabb.

Man, the Texans really are desparate if they are going to get a guy who hasn't been in the league for 3 years.

yeah your right. Iwasn't thinking of that.. I was thinking of a player like him that just clogged the middle so that the LB's could roam

Wow! Tough to pick only one, but I've narrowed it down to three...

The "Burger King",
Diet Pepsi Machine,
or Terry Tate...Office Linebacker

By what we've seen so far, a 2nd receiver or stud O Lineman would be ideal. Orlando Pace would have been a great pickup, but he must have smelled what was in the pot. As far as Moss and C Johnson at WR, its a coin toss.

On Defense I would go DL Casey Hampton. He's a hole clogger and a home town boy from Galveston Ball. I lined up against him in HS, and was beat to hell and back.

you know its funny when guys pick michael vick, because supposedly he wouldnt get sacked as much, he was sacked what 40+ times last year, its not like he doesnt get sacked

That would be Vince Wilfork or Shaun Rogers or maybe even Marcus Stroud.

I would add Ricky Williams with a bag of weed tied in front of his helmet just out of his reach. That would be a motivated RB.

Seriously though, if I could add 1 person Alex Gibbs OL coach.. We need more than just a player we need a miracle worker... where ever this guy has gone that team leads the league in rushing and becomes a winning franchise. If he could work that miracle here we would be a contender by next seasons end.

I just said Shockey because it was the only good TE I could think of and I saw him make a great play this weekend. idonno:

I have to agree that I 1st thought about Shockey but then I remembered his attitude needs a lil' re-adjusting (like before each game) and settled on Gates. If Shockey was switched on 'tude wise every game I'd be happy with him over anything we currently have... he isn't that bad and would still have to be a Top 5 TE...

randy moss

woooooooooooooooooo

moss and aj would be sickly

They couldn't do squat if Carr doesn't have time to throught to them!!!!
P. Manning wouldn't have time th get rid of the ball either.
Have you guys and gals been watching other games and notice how long their QB's have to hold the ball looking for recievers. Hell, even E. Manning had all day in the pocket.
Remember when Barry Sanders was tearing it up. Detroit lost some of their linemen for two years and Barry Sanders couldn't run 1 yard. They shored up their OLine and Barry started doing his thing again. I know this for a fact, cause BSanders was on my fantasy team for years.(keeper league)

bobby 119C :brickwall

Offense: O-line is a major concern - I'll go for Walter Jones.

Defense: Passisng on Derrick Johnson in the draft :brickwall , we need Keith Bulluck.

But most importantly, we need a powerfull GM, which makes Scott Pioli the top priority :redtowel:

Funniest thing Ive ever heard. lol:

i would definetly go with either randy moss or roy williams at reciever along with andre would be just sick...otherwise i'd go with walter jones

Are you are kidding me, if it HAD to BE One, I would choose
tx_brady_all.jpg
. The winner of the last Super Bowl in Houston. Hopefully in 2009 the Texans will get it again, if so, hopefully,

or

will be the quaterback of the houston texans. It will be their fourth season with the team. I'm sure in 4 years either one of them could have led us to the playoffs and maybe deep into them. They are certainly doing it in college within that 4 year span. But this owner really needs to do something. If heads don't roll people need to say, "screw you, I'm not paying for this anymore." Hooneymoons over. I'll watch on tv but I'm not paying good money while you put out there baseball's equivalent, the Pittsburgh Pirates. We need to address the quaterback, coaching staff, general manager, and a look at a number of positions. I'll keep coming, but I just need to show a commitment to winning. If the number one goal isn't to get better to win that championship, I don't want to even watch it on the tv, much less in person. Oh, I'll watch the Patriots and Eagles, and other teams who give it all, but I won't watch you. No sir, not on my watch.
It's just like the Astros, when they had Puke Scott starting at the beginning of the season hitting about as good as my grandma could using her cane as the bat. Once I saw them start to play hard again, that's when I started paying attention again. It's just like with the players, Poison #31, Garbage #98, and Ice Hands #85. And the gm position. And coaches.

With that in mind the Texans should go after
williams_r_112602_200.jpg

They should have traded for Ricky the last time time he was available.

Anyway, Imagine Pairing Ricky Williams with Vince Young, or Leinart.

Depends on who you want. The greatest quaterback in Texas history, or college history?

If it would take this year's two and next year's one, definitely. A conditional pick would be good but I'm not sure if they have that in the NFL. Seems like you hear about that more in basketball. Keep Domanick too. Both are RBs and both are injury prone. Plus it is good to have two good running backs. Look at the Jets without Lamont Jordan. Not that him leaving has everything to do with their bad start.

And I don't care that he

.

Quit and came back, twice!.

Honestly what do you think he was doing?

. That's why he

And he sucked at it and he couldn't stand it. So he went back to basketball.

Ricky can play on my team any day. And Moss and Owens.

not Bonds though, NO BONDS!!!!!!

Or any of those cheaters, McGwire, Palmeiro, Sosa, etc.

With that said,
