CITY CAT said:What should you hope the Texans do with the first overall pick? Do you hope that the Texans draft Bush so you don't have to take as many hits? Or do you go another direction? I hope the Texans draft Bush but still keep DD a vital part of the offense.

thunderkyss said:If I was DD, I'd be insulted..... if they wanted to save me from getting hit, why don't they teach those five guys how to block, or get Wells in here more often,
if they ask me to restructure anything, I'm going postal on somebody.
Frills said:Face it DD needs a RBBC more than anyone now, he can't handle the full load and stay healthy.
thunderkyss said:It is way to early to call Domanick Injury prone. Teach the offensive line how to block, get him into the secondary untouched, like you want for Reggie, and he'll be injury free. & if you think Reggie can get into the secondary untouched behind our line, I've only got one thing to say to you.
Puff, Puff, pass beatch...... it's not puff, puff hold........... puff, puff, pass.....![]()
In his first three years, Domanick has started more games(40) & ran for more yards(3195) than Shawn Alexander(29 games, 2806yrds his first three years), Tiki Barber(11 games, 935yards his first three years), Mike Anderson(31 games, 2551 yards), Deuce McAllister(35 games, 3120 yards), Jamal Lewis( 28 games, 2691 yards), Priest Holmes (17 games, 1514 yards), Edgerin James(38 games, 3931 yards who averaged 4.3 yards per carry his first three years, where DD is averaging 4.1), and Stephen Jackson(who only started 18 games in 2 season..... averaging 4.4 ypc over 2 years.)
running backs get beat up the first couple/three years in the league....... it's normal. DD, is not injury prone.... well it's too early to say really.
I think it would be premature to trade him at this point..... improve the blocking on the offensive line...... DD, Wells, & Morency would've rushed for 1800/2100 yards behind Denver's line.

Yep...he proved he was an every down back by being hurt....a lot...every season pretty muchkeyfro said:if i'm DD i probably have a lot of feelings swerling around...i'm pissed because everyone in houston wants reggie bush...a lot of people think i'm not an everydown back after i prooved it for 3 years...i would rather us get ferguson cause that would just make carr's and my life that much easier...but at the same time if we do get bush i'm thinking that it might just help my career out a little because i'd be splitting time with a playmaker who can take the load off my shoulders every once in awhile and i'm still getting paid millions and millions
Frills said:DD is thinking about picking up an instructional video or a book on basic blocking out of the backfield...since he hasn't the past few seasons why start worrying about blocking now?
Face it DD needs a RBBC more than anyone now, he can't handle the full load and stay healthy.
As a side note, 1000 yds rushing is not as huge an accomplishment as it once was

Frills said:16 players last year went over 1,000
Very elite when half the NFL has a 1000yd RB
Mike Anderson was one of them and just got cut.
