If we are unable to resign Aaron Glenn...

What do we do?

Options......

1. Draft a corner in the 1st or 2nd round. Leaving Dunta as the #1 corner and another inexperienced corner at #2 having to go through learning curves.

2. Let Faggins start at #2 and Dunta take over the #1 job. I think Faggins is more of a slot guy though, he showed a little last year.

lucky #3. Sign a FA veteran cornerback. KEN LUCAS! Would love to see that guy and Robinson as our corners. He can tackle, is big (6'0, 205), and led the NFL I believe in pass deflections last year, and also had 6 interceptions. Or.. Gary Baxter, one of the Miami corners, etc.

Glenn is signed through 2007. The Texans may restructure Aaron's contract at some point, but he's not going anywhere else for awhile.

Although they might want to start looking for his replacement soon.
Agreed. I think we should look at drafting Ronald Bartel from Howard in the 2nd. or Antonio Perkins from OU in the 3rd. Both have good physical skills and would make fine starters after learning from Glenn for a year or 2.

Is Carlos Rogers still not getting props? If so, draft him in the 2nd round. :heh: :thumbup

Shark is telling you people now, Rogers = best corner in the draft.

It's not a question of props, it's a question of him going in the first.

Ya but theres a good chance he could be a salary cap casualty.

No there is not. There was an incorrect article that had Glenn with a $4 mil bonus next year. It is not a bonus, it is his cap hit and $4 mil for Glenn when the franchise tag is $8.8 mil is not bad at all.

If any of the Texas Longhorns' corners are in the draft, wait for one of them. They seem to have lots of potential.

Why don't we just go after Ty Law being that he was released and see how he does on Aaron's side?

I would expect a team that is close to a Championship or a team that is desperate for secondary help with Cap room. neither of which are the Texans

Then um, why was their so much talk about a possible Aaron Glenn release on ESPN tv ?

Because they were mistaken and thought Glenn was due a $4 mil roster bonus and they tend to run "might be released" stories on justabout anyone over 30 with large roster bonuses.

Infantrycak and Lucky is right, Aaron Glenn is in no danger of being a cap casulty. I can't see us signing Law either.
