Here is my only point....i am not going to jump off and complain about the TJ pick yet, but didnt we just commit a lot of money to seth payne?
 
I think TJ will most likely be replacing Walker eventually. He strikes me as more of a DE than DT.
 
...and we've commited a lot of money to Walker and Smith, too...I think Johnson will most likely rotate in and out of all 3 positions, and if one of them were to go down he could fill in for them...
 
Well It doesnt really matter how much money we have commited to Walker and Payne.. neither of them are young.. they will be leaving within a couple seasons. (payne may last 3 or 4 more).

Travis Johnson is our future.
 
Capers just stated that with the D-line having two starters over 30 we would have to address the line sooner than later.
 
Im not complaining about the pick, but isnt a big thing about the 3-4, is that you can find D-linemen in the later rounds?
 
i guess...its just sort of an odd feeling to know that our first round pick wont be starting for the first time in our history....i would love to see him take over for gary walker...also, our main problem was putting pressure in the quarterback, so if travis clogs up the line and leads to more babin/peek sacks, then good on us. Its also kind of ridiculous for people to be grading our draft before it has even finished, much less have these people played a down in the nfl......werent people ranting about how dunta was a bust and we should have moved up for sean taylor/deangelo hall? We passed On DJ for a reason, now he plays for the worst defense in the nfl. Im not entirely sure we take DJ if he is there at SIXTEEN.....lets maintain the faith in CC....after all, FSU players do have a bit of sucess in the nfl...cough anquan boldin..cough boulware...cough derrick brooks

Casserly was stating that D-line was very weak after the top couple of guys in this draft.
 
You CAN pick up quality Dlinemen for the 3-4 in the mid-rounds.. doesnt mean that you have to though.

Casey Hampton.. probably the best 3-4 DT in the league right now.. was a top ten pick.
