How to watch TV while tailgating

My dad and I are looking to step up our tailgating experience by being able to watch some games. Looking online, it appears you need either a satellite or a HD receiver to pick up the cable airwaves (is this still functional?)

Any advice would be helpful, online searches so far have not been very useful.

I just purchased a RCA antenna from walmart, and connected it to my HD samsung T.V and it worked great. If your going to be Tailgating at the stadium you have the feed comming right from the game so its nice and clear. I live in the Woodlands and tailgate in my driveway and we still get a good feed with it out here. So dont waste your money on that expensive stuff. You can also hook your computer to your T.V and stream it like that. hope this helps.....

You could always go slingbox from home to your mobile device and plug that into your tv.
