How do you feel about our WRs?

Was having a discussion in another thread about our WR group. IMO if one of the top 3 WRs fall to 25, we should seriously consider them as our pick. I'm not sold on this group as a whole. I'm not letting last year's draft detour me from adding an impact WR if he's the BPA. Fuller and Miller haven't shown me that either are sure fire starter material.

Williams, Ross and Davis are all better players right now than Fuller/miller and any would be an upgrade. Thoughts???
 
Hopkins is excellent so that is a great start.

Hard to say about Fuller. He started out like lightening making huge plays and huge drops, but was a highlight reel for a few weeks. Then he faded pretty hard with drops and injuries that helped to silence him. My confidence isn't that strong in him after seeing him have a terrible year of drops when that was already his biggest weakness.

Other than that, our receiving core was pretty much worthless last season with Brock throwing to them. Our TE's became very productive and efficient though. They were the shining light on offense last season I'd say. THe problem is we don't have a real athletic one with any speed or big play making ability. We just have blue collar workers that can make a few plays when they get open.

Overall I'd say we have a pretty talented group, but an okay roster for right now. We're slightly above average, but that could change if Fuller turns it all around. We could be a top unit in the same breath if that happened.

Yeah , my first thought was who's throwing them the ball ... I pretty much give them all a pass for last season with the horrible QB play they had to compliment errr complicate their play. Osweiler was terrible and Savage wasn't much better & both had trouble in the red zone. Those guys made FitzTragic and Hoyerable look like ALL PRO's.

Fuller , I expect improvement from.
Strong , IDK ? Has the tools .... If he doesn't show something this year , its time to part ways with him.
Miller was pretty solid until he got hurt.

Unless a WR is just the best player available by leaps and bounds , I might pass and pick a position with more dire needs. S , QB , OT , LB depending upon who was there to choose from.
 
We've put quite a bit of draft capital into the WR position already (Hopkins = 1st; Fuller = 1st; Miller = 3rd; Strong = 3rd; Mumphery = 5th). 4 of those guys have been drafted in the last 2 years. I'd say we are fine there right now. They need a little bit of time to develop.

Oh and a QB who can actually get them the ball.

What did you see out of MIller? I thought the guy was total trash from what I saw of him.

What did you see out of MIller? I thought the guy was total trash from what I saw of him.
 
I would not spend a pick at WR unless we're moving Nuk and not giving him a new contract.
