How About Suggestions for Improvement

I haven't seen where anyone has made suggestions for improving the team with what we have so I thought I'd start one.

For one thing, I'd switch Phil Buchanon to the offense. He obviously doesn't like hitting anyone but has great speed and supposedly is a great broken field runner. If he has any hands, let's line him up on offense.

I'd also like to see us line up in the shotgun with DD to either side of Carr and have a direct snap to DD. Carr should make a very dramatic action like the ball was snapped badly to the other side, grasping at thin air and falling to the ground as though he's curled up around the ball with his back to the line. DD takes the ball through whatever gap he can hopefully find and scores!

Another possibility is running the shuttle pass. With how quickly the defensive ends bolt upfield on us, we should be able to throw a shuttle pass underneath them for some decent yardage. We do not and never have run a middle screen well so I think this quick hitter would give us a better opportunity.

Anyone else with some good ideas, let's hear them.:yahoo:

1) Play the best players available.

2) As a coaching staff, don't try to do the same thing over and over if it has failed for the past 6 games.

I think that we need to sit Carr out. Put Ragone in. I think Carr has gotten scared, being sacked so many times. He isn't making good decisions. Maybe he needs to sit back and watch things happen for a game.

I would give Seth Wand a try at right tackle since it seems he doesnt have the footwork to play left tackle. He reminds me of the RT for the Eagles Jon Runyan. And can someone teach Babin, Peek, Orr, and Anderson some other pass rush moves other than the bull rush?!! It's the same crap every Sunday!

I personally like the idea of p-buc in the offense. He could be a slot receiver for Carr on quick slants when we know the blitz is on. I think he can really exploit defenses that way. I also think Carr needs some time to gel with mathis, this kid is quick. I would try some quick outs with him. I know this one is a stretch because putting p-buc on offense would decrease our depth, but really have you seen our depth? I would also start playing Banks and Ragone, I mean why not? Think about this, say we do play them and we want something good to happen in the off season. Well what better way to shop someone to other teams than to put them in the game? It could really up the value of players that we would be willing to get rid of to strengthen our pathetic o-line or our defensive holes. Lastly take Capers and skull drag him up and down the field in front of the team and tell them the next one that lets Carr get sacked or doesn't make the easy play on defense is next.

suggestions for improvment?

try investing some draft picks in linemen...maybe a couple of free agent aquisitions.

free agent wr would be nice.

start training peek and babin on how to be 4-3 linemen.

ditch bradford

ditch p-burnt

go ahead and give greenwood a refresher course on the will backer.

sit carr before he dies

on next years offense try useing some motion and allowing carr a chance to call the appropriate audible rather then just run plays or flipping the play

ohhh did i mention a coach? someone fire and brimstone who can father his players and scare the crap out of them when necessary. give me someone whos done it before ,but is capable of being innovative. surround him with the best coordinators money can buy.

heres another suggestion for improvment: do something to capture the imagination of your fans...your loseing them fast.

sorry, but most of these 'things' have been with the Texans since day one and will work with proper 'execution' and overall team 'efficiency'--because Dom Capers says so:pigfly:
