Ed Oliver is absolutely dominating this game right now...batted balls, forced fumbles TFLs and now running down Jackson for a sack...dare I say JJ Watt-esque?
 
The Coogs definitely let down after the Navy loss. That was understandable. But, they've clearly been pointing to this game since. I realize this game is in Houston, but I think the Coogs could have beaten the Cards in Louisville, as they did last season. This was a top 10 team early in the season and I think they will finish in the top 10.
 
Unfortunately for UH this is their bowl game. They won't win their conference so they won't be eligible for the New Years Six bid.

The only way they could possibly get around that is a complete collapse of Navy right? They'd have to lose 2 of 3 to SMU, East Carolina, and Army.

I could see them maybe losing one of those as a fluke loss or something but not two of them. No way in hell.
 
Coogs beat the living Hell out of Louisville! We were superior in all aspects of the game, Cardinals never had a prayer.

We have to avoid the let-down for next week's game at Memphis.

They have to lose to both SMU and ECU. Army game is irrelevant (non-conference game).

Yeah most bowl projections have them facing the MAC runner-up in one of those run of the mill pre-Christmas bowl games that most people don't watch. Not exactly what UH fans were expecting from a season where they beat two top 5 opponents non-conference.
 
Very true. I'll take it of course and hope that the team puts an ass whipping on whoever they face. It's a shame but they're really a year or so away from having the kind of depth that they need. If they can hang on to Tom for another year of recruiting like he did last year they might be well on their way. Once he has a couple of years of players committing he'll have what he needs to make some real noise and take it to the playoffs.
 
I was watching at a friend's house and damn was that fun. Houston had this game circled and it makes for a little bitter in the sweet taste. Houston dropped those two games on the heels of the Big 12 announcement and one wonders if that played a part.

Anyway, I can't remember Houston playing quite as well as they did last night. They were even in-fighting on the Cardinals bench..lol.

A trip to the Bahamas Bowl would be a nice reward for the team. I wonder if Herman would stay with the tesm through the bowl game?

If he does indeed get hired by Texas then no way he stays for a bowl game. Would need to hit the recruiting grounds running because UT's class is a mess right now.
