i think these picks basically cover every need we have and in two years our starting lineup could look very different...i know some of ya'll will say that's a lot of olineman but look at the way carr has been beaten on...i'd say we need to do everything to help him stay healthy and this draft does just that in two years our lineup could look like this

I cant see Philadelphia giving up 2 second rounders. This would be a great scenario for us, and we would be getting quality guys, but Philly would prolly only give up 1 second rounder and trade up a few and get Clayton. I might not mind this.. not sure, but won't happen.
 
Actually, Philly has extra picks and a history of trading up the last few years, so that trade could happen. Imagine TWilliamson opposite Owens or Cadillac/Benson at RB for them.

The Philadelphia Eagles have 13 picks, thanks to trades and compensatory picks, including five in the first three rounds.
The Eagles pick 31st, but don't be surprised if they repeat the moves of their last two drafts in which they traded into the middle of the first round to nab the guys they wanted – Miami defensive end Jerome McDougle and Arkansas T/G Shawn Andrews. McDougle has been a disappointment while Andrews had the Eagles excited about his right guard play before he broke his leg in preseason.
So, do the Eagles trade up to get a featured running back to help out Brian Westbrook? Don't be so sure. Andy Reid is big on trench guys. If they trade up, don't be surprised if it's to stay in the trenches, especially with the rising stock of a pass-rushing defensive end like Demarcus Ware of Troy, who may have moved into the middle of the first round.

BUT - I still have the feeling that they have someone targeted like last year. Also, it looks like DJ could be had for the price of a 3rd (plus 13 of course) so thatg would be nice.
 
I know that have extra picks but giving up to 2nd rounders is unlikley, they are more likley to trade a 2nd and a 3rd. But this trade happening is like at a 2/10.
 
If we really end up with that many picks we had better trade several for picks next year. I don't want that many picks for a single year.
 
Definitely a dream scenario let's hope Philly likes #13. They probably figure with all those picks they can go even higher to get whoever royce keeps saying Mike Williams. Tennessee taking Barron at 6 is a stretch can't see that happening they must know oline talent they got bell in 4th round and from local papers Fisher says line talent is deep just not superior talent wise. I just hope we can deal down somehow like this. Anything close to your scenario would be nice I'd be surprised if we only had two first day picks again.
 
i agree in the fact that 2 2nd rounders is a high price...since i made a mistake in calculating the worth of their picks...if you do the math (correctly :mag: ) then we would get their 31st and their 35th pick which would equal our 13th pick (both being 1150 pts)...with that we could do this:

i like the actual trade but not the players you used from that trade. i think david bass is worthy of a late first round pick. i think matt jones is also. i wouldnt mind us taking matt jones w/pick 31 and david bass w/pick 35. insead of blackstock i would take boomer in the later rounds.
matt jones is half a foot taller than williamson and faster. he provides that threat we need opposite aj. bass shores up the interior line for us. used our second on a pass rush or cb depth, maybe a browner out of o. state.

I do think we go Blackstock if he is there. I think Ware 2nd and burnett 3rd
this is where i start to disagree though. I think we get the WR with the #35 pick. Then the #47 we go coner. #73 we go OL #78 DL.
 
well if you look at the mock i had up you can see i think matt jones won't be there at the 31st pick...and he's not exactly faster than williamson (4.32)...jones (4.39)...but whose counting hundreths of a second anyway...haha...capers has been said to take interest in adam terry and was at his pro day and is probably gonna have a private workout and interview with him...that's who i think we are targeting in the second round
