Here are the Quarterbacks in the playoffs...

Here are the Quarterbacks who are on teams in the playoffs this year:

Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, Byron Leftwich, Jake Plummer, Eli Manning, Mark Brunell, Rex Grossman, Chris Simms, Jake Delhomme, and Matt Hasselbeck.

NONE of these are so call "running quarterbacks." (You can make the arguement that a few of them are more "mobile" than the others, but NONE of them are the stereotypical "running quarterback").

I would venture to say that David Carr is more like the above listed quarterbacks than Vincent Young (don't get me wrong, I would still be for drafting Vincent Young, but I also think that Carr will be a great quarterback). Carr has more similarities to all of the above mentioned quarterbacks, and those are the guys who are in the playoffs. Just an observation...

I am only pointing this out, because some people are losing their minds over the Vince Young situation. I think that if we get Vince Young or Reggie Bush, we are going to be in GOOD SHAPE!!! I would love to see Vincent Young in a Texans uniform as much as the next guy, but if it doesn't happen, IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!

After reading some of the threads on this board such as: "boycott the Texans if they don't draft Young", etc., etc.,
What we really need to worry about is how cr@ppy our fans are!!! Heck, we lost a team to Tennessee already, we might as well sell this team to SanAntonio or L.A.

I will support the Texans and cheer for them, NO MATTER WHO is playing for them. Like I said earlier, we are going to be in good shape with whoever we get with the first pick, but regardless of who we choose I am a TEXANS FAN!!!

I for one am like you whether we get Bush or Young we are in good shape, (and my head is spinning trying to decide which I would want) but it makes me sick and I believe it is the main reason many are getting upset is that if we take Bush, it is the back-stabber himself Bud Adams that ends up with Young. :brickwall Many of us could live with it if Young becomes the second coming, as long as it is not with the Titans. :twocents:

You can take Leftwich off that list. OUCH that game had to be painful for Teal lovers. :)

Eli is out too. Even uglier game! No ManningBowl for those who where wishing hard.

Just watched Carson Palmer take a OMG hit to the left kneee. Doesn't look good right now, not good for the Bengal fans.

I agree about a QB always having to have a "pass first" mentality. You don't get a nice pocket like you do in college. There wasn't a team in college that forced Vince to pass. That's going to change in the NFL. The only Dline I've ever seen that really forced Vince to throw was last yea'rs Oklahoma team. And Vince had a terrible game (albeit that was a very young Vince). Even QBs that can run (like Culpepper and Mcnabb) always pass first. They're not even considered running QBs anymore. I actually think one of the better QBs that ran alot in the NFL was Jeff Garcia when he was with the 49ers.
