Help for an Out-of-Towner

Hey Texans fans,

I will be hitting up Houston and going to the Hou/Bal game in a couple weeks (heading down from Calgary, Canada) with the G/F so I just need to know if it is easier to find parking around the arena or take the train in? How packed does the train get?

As far as parking around the stadium, the best thing to do is get your hands on a parking pass. You can find them on ebay, or you can check out www.1560tickets.com I park in the blue lot, but I hear the yellow lot tailgaters party pretty hard too. The downtown train is the cheapest option and isn't crowded as long as you give yourself a good margin of time to get to the stadium.

I use Metrorail often and it is easy and fast if you don't have a parking pass. Park at the Fannin South (METRORail station) @ Fannin and the loop 610 (behind the McDonalds and Sams Club) and get an all day pass for two bucks. The train is an extremely short ride in from the parking lot and it lets you off at the little icon at the edge of the North Fannin lot (picture below). If you have a handicap there is a metrolift bus that will take you from the rail to the stadium. After the game ride into downtown and eat or whatever...you have an all day pass.
