Heard on Mortensen Say...

I heard Chris Mortensen say on sportscenter earlier that Reggie Bush still might demand more money than we signed Williams at if he is drafted number 2. Is that possible and has that happened before where a player drafted lower got more money? I normally don't pay attention to the contract stuff.

I bet Bush is pissed at his agent though... Could have cost him millions (even though he won't need them). I'm sure his agent told him, "Nah, man don't worry. They won't draft Williams. It's only for leverage. We can demand huge amounts of money and probably get it."

Now look what happened... Bush (with the help of his agent) priced himself out of the top spot.

You can bet on him holding out if his demands are that high. Thats too bad because he is a great player that will be behind the eight ball when the season rolls around. Don't want to piss your new teammates off.

I don't think Bush is upset with his agent. In fact, by threatening the money card with the Saints he is doing exactly what his agent wants him to do when he declares that Bush won't play in NO.
