Most of the really negative and nasty posters who are CONTANTLY dogging the team, Carr and the coaches are Cowpie lovers, UT lovers who are ticked off about DJ and there also seems to be more than a couple of what I suspect are trolls from other boards trying to sew hate and discontent? Not that I don't think we have some BAD problems, it is just that these folks NEVER have ANYTHING positive to say about the team. Bear in mind when reading some folks posts that they may have an agenda other than being a Texans fan.

I'm ticked off about not getting DJ, but I have never and will never blame Carr for this joke of an offense.

couldnt agree more, I still to this day think Carr has the spirit to lead this team. He almost got into a fight with I think it was albert haynesworth and I loved him ever since.

but the DJ pick is just... my god sooooooooo dumb

I dont know how you can blame carr really, well ya he does take some of the blame but who would be able to do well in carrs place. He either has no pocket, people covered or by the time someone gets open hes already running for his life.

Im a hardcore fan .............. I have over 2000 pieces of Texans memorabilia . I love this team through and through , but their recent play makes me wanna puke . I am of the belief that if David is ever gonna reach his full potential , he needs hell I dont know ............. AN O-LINE !!!!!!!!!!!!! :brickwall

It seems that David has become spooked in a sense . Its happened before to other QBs to where they come into a bad situation and they never get the hang of playing the NFL game because they dont play for a real NFL team .

I just hope that David can get this out of his head and move past this to become the guy that we all hoped , expected and dreamed of .

GO TEXANS !!!!!!!!!! :texflag:

You make a very good point because UT fans are use to a winning tradition and have never had to deal with years of inepitude but they don't vent their frustration w/o just cause---put a decent product on the field and see what happens. Too, more and more every week, the :homer: are either showing their displeasure or have stopped posting altogether. No, we don't live in the perfect world where everyone has the same opinion and is expected to conform to a predetermined way of thinking--we have freedoms, like freedom of speech. And, finally, it is usually only the :homer: that puts other posters down...

I've noticed no matter how bad things are getting there are still posters who think they are only in year four of the golden five year plan of Casserly, and their going to find their pot of gold next year.

It's a pipedream come join us in the real world of Texans football.

LMAO!!!!! UT never had years of ineptitude?!?!? Speaking of
:homer: ! I was at UT during the David McWilliams era. Don't tell me we haven't seen bad years. I do believe a few Orangebloods, er, "showed their displeasure" in those days.

But you're right about what makes people happy. Put a good team on the field and we'll scream, shout, buy tickets, and have a great time. It'll be hard for some folks to stay in love with the team if it appears to do nothing to better itself. Not for me, but for some folks. What can I say? I'm a diehard. (Made the Rose Bowl that much sweeter, having endured 46-3 against Miami in the Cotton Bowl years before.) :texanpride:

Uh I'm a "Cowpie" lover as you put it but I am a Texans fan also....you can't lump people into these categories like that. People express opinions based on what they see, what they feel. If people are "dogging" the Texans they're entitled. Many of the people that come here PAY to see the team. Perhaps they don't feel they are getting their money's worth.

I sense disappointment in the Texans most of all from posters. And that's to be expected. I think most here thought this team would have shown better in these first few games.

The Texans have done absolutely nothing to warrant anything BUT criticism. What they're putting out on the field is a joke! It's not that we've been losing, it's how we've been losing for 4 years now. There's no fight, no competitive spirit, no pride. The team just lays down and dies and games are usually over before the half. Now whether it's the coaching or the players is a matter of opinion. I honestly believe we don't have the personnel to do what Dom Capers wants to do and he's too pigheaded to change the strategy. We are not and have never been a ground and pound football team. DD is a finesse runner and our O-line isn't going to push anyone around. We're supposed to be an attack defense but we have no pass rush and our coverage is garbage except for DRob. Our front office has failed in getting the players we need either through the draft or free agency to run these schemes. The bottom line is the team is BAD and things need to change before they get any better. As a loyal fan I will continue to watch just as I have been for 4 years now every Sunday hoping for a better coaching staff, better players and eventually a winning season.

I didn't say there were not down years--what I'm referring to is many years of losing football-McWilliams wasn't great but how many losing years did he have?

UT has had 7 losing seasons since 1950 (55 yrs)--most losing seasons in a row was 2

I still hear people use the its only year 4 of the 5 year plan . I think that the 4th year the team should look better than it did the first 3 years though ........... :um:
