Handling the "sandwich game"

This game will be a real barometer of how mature this team is and how truly ready they are to be not just a playoff team, but an actual factor once they get there. The game falling on the schedule in between arguably the two most intense, emotional home games of the year has always concerned me.

I know it's early, but if the Texans can have enough focus to avoid any letdown from last weeks monster effort and not be looking ahead to the every 4-year battle for Texas next Sunday, I will be truly a believer in some big things happening this season.

However, the slightest instance of taking their eye of of the task at hand will result in a stumble that they will be looking back on latter in the season.

I have a feeling they are mature enough to take care of business.
