Greg Gabriel's Top 5 at each position:

No secret that the strength of this years Draft is in the DLine and if we truly go with the philosophy of drafting the BPA on our Board we may very well have the opportunity to draft in that area because there will probably be 2 or 3 excellent DLine players @ 22. We need somebody who can play both the 5-tech and NT positions. Buchner & A'Shawn Robinson are potentially elite NFL talents but will probably be off of our Board but somebody like Vernon Butler my be available for us. WR & OT are 2 big need positions for us but not as strong this year but the Texans may choose to use our top pick on one of those areas anyway?

I agree wiith you about DL being a deep draft. That's why I think the Texans would be better served taking someone like Josh Doctson at #22 and PSU DT Austin Johnson in RD 2. In normal DL drafts Johnson could be considered a first rounder.

The Top 5 Quarterbacks in the 2016 NFL Draft

It's about time someone put Hogan in the top 5. He's going to be the steal of the draft if a team gets him in the 3rd or later.

I think too many people put too much stock in the physical abilities of these QBs. For whatever system you're wanting to run, there should be a threshold on how athletic he needs to be & Hogan should be above any threshold short of wanting to run a Cam Newton, RGIII rookie season offense.

If I'm running a WCO, or any system that values the short to intermediate passing game, I'm very, very interested in Hogan.

Mentally I think he's way ahead of the other QBs in this clasd. He's got a football IQ like Luck where he's making adjustments & calls at the line that's helping the run game ( I say that, but it's kinda hard to screw up when you have Christian McCaffrey in the backfield ).

Connor cook. If that's all he's got against him, I'll have to leave that to the guys who interview him & talk to his coaches & teammates. But like he said, he's got all the physical tools & has shown enough intelligence to run a pro system for three years & won a lot of games doing so. A lot of big games & being voted MVP of some of them.
